I think you might have misjudged the ratio with the natron. Perhaps you should have put in more salt than baking soda, to help it dry out better. Then, you could now not be multi-tasking.

Dirk: Took about an hour, give or take fifteen minutes. Hardest part was the hair. Definitely the hair.
Camel: I'm beginning to believe that, actually. I wouldn't be shocked, since I clearly have no idea what I'm doing, and this is my first time mummfiying anything. Mistakes are kind of mandatory, I think. In any case, I still have one rat left; I imagine he'll just be a much neater and quicker job in general.
Tom: Yanno what I heard about freeze-dried critters? They're not suitable for people who live in warm enviroments and don't have air-conditioning. Ya see, the fat in the tissues liquifies and runs out around the base and floor if ii gets hot enough.
