Did you find this pre- or post-zoo?
P.S. I actually took the train/bus, yesterday! Woot.

What does it say, exactly? "Need food or beatings" or "heatings?"

Yeah, I interpreted that handwriting as female, too, Lisa. Definitely.
We found this while we were running around State Street like idiots, trying to figure out which bus to take to the zoo because we left the damn directions in the mail room of our apartment.
And I really can't see any way to interpret that fourth word other than "beatings". So . . . Jesus, what the FUCK. I guess the only way to find out would be to send a letter to that address....

This be some very strange shit. It always seems to me to be a personal offence whenever I see something this inexplicable. I think it's a failure of society in general when you get people like this. It's sickening.

I think it might say "Heatings..."
Which, of course, makes this a lot less interesting. Forget I said anything.

The handwriting is a little girly, isn't it? I think I might agree with you guys on this one.
Still can't read that one word as anything other than BEATINGS, though.

I take it back. Look at the b in mailbox.
Look at the "b" in beatings/heatings.
This person has issues.

I agree with you there, Rich. I just find it odd, considering the rest of the letter makes no refrence to it. The rest makes perfect, desperate, semi-literate, gods-I'm-glad-I'm-not-him-or-her sense, except for that one word. How odd.
Perhaps it means "Or I will beat you." It's a mail-order mugging...
