It hurts.

Wow.
I gotta say, his transition is very sucessful. He's got to be the most male-looking FtoM I've ever seen. Right down to the bone structure.
Well, you know... ignoring the vagina.

That's not real.
It's not real.
NOT. REAL.

Umm. . .hate to burst your balloon, but it's all real.
Female-to-male transsexuals exist, and they vary in appearance. Some trans guys, like Buck, look very male after taking testosterone for a few years--or even a few months, depending on how much they're taking. Just like any other guy, there is no one kind of FTM. They can be young or old, gay, straight, bi, or disinterested, of any race or religion, blind, deaf, paraplegic--you name it.
Probably a lot of weenie-worshippers out there are wondering, "What self-respecting guy would want to be a guy without a dick?" Well, as an FTM myself, I'd like to say that a) the genitals do not make the man and b) lower surgery is RIDICULOUSLY expensive and very invasive. basically, they take a giant graft off of your forearm and move it down south, where it isn't guaranteed to work. It's not worth all the pain, and plenty of trans guys opt not to do that. However, most of us aren't all about the breasts (they get in the way), so that's the surgery that most opt for.

Hi, Nick!
I, for one, can pretty much understand why Buck kept his vag. Even the really minor surgeries can kill sensation, from what I've heard.
I'mon his side with that one. As far as I'm concerned, who gives a shit what their bits look like, as long as they do their job. I'll take functionality over aesthetics any day.
Buck actually reminds me a lot of the guy who compiled the photography book "Body Alchemy," another FtM who had top surgery, but not bottom. I forget his name, but I loved that book. Human beings are weird.
And in Nina's defense, I'm pretty sure she was kidding.

Heya, Spike!
Loren Cameron did Body Alchemy. He also compiled ManTool, which is an e-book about FTM genital surgery. He's really neat, and i love his work and his perspective.
Heh. . .I'm with you, too, Spike--the vag wins over any surgery out there. I really give Buck mad props for the visibility (no pun intended). It's really hard to look at Buck and say he's a woman, regardless of the formation of his bits. This is good--it helps people to reconsider the binary opposition that people have been fed about gender since the beginning of time. Plus, Buck is just so sassy and open about everything.
Oh, and sorry, Nina, for acting so defensive--honestly, there are lots of people out there who have no idea that FTMS exist, or they think that we're rare (we're everywhere!). I'll never forget tabling for a trans group at a sexuality fair my school was hosting, and the (gay) psychiatrist who was tabling next to me saw Loren Cameron's book on my table and indignantly pointed to him, saying, "THAT'S a WOMAN?"
Heh. you never know who you'll educate.
oh, here's Loren, if Spike wants a refresher or anyone else wants to see his work:

WOW.
I'm a gay guy, and I must say that I am absolutely jealous of Buck Angel. He's got my ideal body--a hot man with a vagina.
I am living proof that the binary nature of sexuality is bogus. Every fantasy I have is one wherein I am a buff man with a vagina and am getting pounded (I also often fantasize that my boyfriend is Chris Meloni, just so you know).
Naturally, most people aren't comfortable with this: a male figure with a vagina. It challenges the moral and sexual structures on which the current (and ancient) social contract was constructed. As such, my respect for Buck is stunning, in the least.
My hat's off to you, Buck. Would that I could join in your perfection, I certainly would jump to it.
All my love and courage,
Jude, The Patron Saint of Lost Causes

His biceps are quite amazing, i'm studing blacksmithing and metal work so some of my co students are fairly well built , but still not as impressive as buck!
