Speaking of anime related atrocities, the new season of anime has been announced. I couldn't find an interesting sounding show on the entire list, but there is this gem:

Okay, if you don't read moon language, let me tell you what you're looking at. It's the webpage for a new show called "I Love My Little Sister." Yes. Thanks Japan!

YOu know, and for a split second, I thought about going to a con this year for the first time since I got married. Thank you for reminding me WHY I changed my mind.

Wow.
Best line: "Chicks dig it."

I heard they were eliminating that and making it so you can only carry a sign if you are dressed as a giant panda.
I get a kick out of cons myself, but it's the lost souls (parents, girlfriends that got dragged along, etc) that crowd panels and signings, asking irrelevant questions and demanding autographs whether or not they know the person, who ruin the atmosphere sometimes.

I was at Project A-Kon last weekend, and after last year's horrible infestation, they have banned signs outright. The con was considerably more pleasant that way (although I am still recovering from the worst case of Con Crud I have ever experienced).
I understand that Otakon did the same, and most other cons with an actual security staff are following suit.

See, this is exactly why I never have or never will go to any anime con.

"I killed a twig once"
OH yeah. We dig that so bad.
See, I'm all about the immoderate enthusiasm. But watching that, my eyebrows keep trying to climb up my forehead and run away. My threshold of weird needs some work.

At least they're not eating babies. Actually, that might be an improvement. I once thought about doing cosplay at the Comicon, but then the acid wore off.
