CALLED IT!

BEING RIGHT IS SORT OF AWESOME.

Terry McMillan -- whose celebrated romance and subsequent marriage to a man 23 years her junior became the subject of her fictionalized best-seller "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" --

actually got her groove back with a man who now says he's gay.

The story is spilling out in made-for-Hollywood detail in Contra Costa County Superior Court, where McMillan has filed for divorce from her Jamaican- born husband of six years, Jonathan Plummer.

McMillan, 53, said in court documents that the marriage was based on a "fraud'' because Plummer lied about his sexual orientation -- and married her only to gain U.S. citizenship.

AHAHAHAHAHA DUH.

For the record, my mother is Jamaican, and I've been to the island myself about a dozen times. When we first heard about the whole "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" story, we laughed.

See, in Jamaica, the tourist beaches are crawling with exceptionally handsome and charming Jamaican men. CRAWLING. Really. Throw a rock, you'll hit an Adonis. And they all want green cards more than they want to breathe. They'll dive like bomber planes onto anything with an American accent. They're not picky, because they don't plan on staying.

But they'll tell you anything, if they think it'll get them stateside. And it works.

Plummer probably only hung around for six years because he landed a millionaire. Anything less and he would've been gone in two.

Oh dear, and to think I just left Contra Costa County for the sedate Solano County.

Silly me. Silly her.

The question now is, was this particular Adonis smart enough to get citizenship before coming out?

Jamaica sounds just like Brazil. Seriously, go to Rio and it's the same thing.

Hey how come the forum's dead?

I'm looking forward to the sequel, in which Winston leaves Stella for Trent (Laranz Tate), and Delilah helps Stella hire DeOnn (Mario Van Peebles) to seduce Winston and break them up.
"Waiting to Impale" coming this Fall!

Maybe I'm getting old, but like Stevie Wonder says in his song "So What The Fuss"? Terry McMillian should have know what she was getting into. Now she's trying to garner sympathy. If the situation was reversed where Jonathan Plummer was the oldest in the relationship and Terry McMillian was the youngest, everyone would probably say that "he deserved it" or that "he should have know better".

I say McMillian should have known better, and when she met Plummer (at the ripe old age of 43) I'm sure she's been AROUND THE BLOOK SEVERAL TIMES so (DUH!) this SHOULD NOT HAVE COME COMPLETELY AS A SURRPRISE!

I guess it just goes to show you that "Hell Knows No Fury As A Woman Scorned!" I think the one thing that's really got McMillian pissed off is that she may have to pay to get rid of Plummer.

Ok. That's it. I'm done. After all my rantings and ravings, my head hurts, I need my Percodan with a Haldol chaser so I can lay down!

The bottom line is.......He LIED. He was not honest about his sexuality, prior to their marriage.

My heart goes out to her. Not because she being made a fool of but "because she thinks she has been made a fool of". face it I only read a few Terry McMillian book, and they were great. But I really took notice to her work after how stella got her groove back. So because he had a power impact on her life which lead to a powerful impact on her career, She should be greatful. And because of the power impact he has had on her career, she should thank him with a new best seller "how Mr. Plummer got his groove back". With pictures of him everywhere so unsuspecting women won't run the risk of meeting him and contracting AIDS.

Face it, its called returning the favor
