My San Diego Comic Con Schedule!
Note: I have no cell phone, because they are stupid and I'm poor anyway. So if ya wanna find me, Internet, this is (possibly) where I'll be, and when.
Subject to change.
Void where prohibited.
May cause rectal itching, corneal destabilization and boredom. Ask your doctor if Spike is right for you.
Wednesday (AKA: "YAY! COMIC CON'S HERE!")
Gettin' into town, probably around 9:30 PM. Room-sharing with Lea and Dirk at La Pensione; Lisa will be in that hotel, too. She's our ride. OMG A CAR.
Thursday (AKA: *crickets chirping*)
First day of the con.
Up at the crack of noon.
1:00 - 2:00 PM:Booth-watching at the Modern Tales booth (#1334) with Zack, who I look forward to finally meeting. AND BEATING UP. BAD.
2:00 PM - until: Doing the con-wander. Trying to sell a miniseries project, which will probably go nowhere, but will give me an excuse to talk to a few editors. This is probably the best time for it, since Thursday is the least-crowded day, and we don't all HATE OUR JOBS yet.
8:30 PM-ish: The Friends of Lulu Awards! Gotta go do my little cheerleading routine for Shaenon, who is kewl.
I'm free besides all this, so if you guys wanna do something, like maybe get coffee or dinner, let me know. I'll be husbandless, adrift and VERY SUGGESTIBLE.
Friday (AKA: OH GOD MAKE IT STOP)
2:00 - 3:00 PM: Booth-watching. Zack again, and a guy named Chris Reilly. Never met him, but I'm sure he's just as lovely as a dew-kissed flower.
3:30 - 4:30 PM: Modern Tales panel. I'll be in the audience, hopefully along with a few other MTers.
8:30 PM - until: The Eisner Awards. Might go, might not. The first Eisner Awards ceremony without Eisner is bound to be a depress-o-fest.
Midnight: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince release party at the Border's Books in the Gaslamp district. I'll be the one flipping to the back of Lisa's copy and screaming OH MY GOD YOU GUYS DUMBLEDORE DIES into the crowd.
Saturday (AKA: *gurgle*)
4:00 - 5:00 PM: Booth-watching with Zack, who by now will obviously want to secretly marry me. I'll spend the afternoon spurning his heartfelt advances and wishing the con hall sold something that wasn't deep-fried. Bleh.
The day is free besides this, although I'm considering a quick side-trip to the army surplus place. Come find me and amuse me.
Sunday (AKA: "YAY! COMIC CON'S OVER!")
Flight home leaves at 8:20 AM, so I won't be doing much. Hell, I won't be doing anything; I'll be gone before the con starts. Which is fine, because I'm usually totally spent by Saturday evening, anyway.
I'll see all you guys there. Let me know if anything's happening. This'll be my first SDCC where I'm not planted behind a booth the entire time the hall's open.
