Templar: Cooks. Quiet by necessity.

Talking as little as possible makes you tougher to identify in a police line-up, later. Words to the wise.

Man, three pages in four days, plus a chunky Wonder Woman pin-up. I wasn't built for this kinda pace. I have to learn to manage my time better.

I also have to clean up my link page. Big time. I'll try to get that done today, too many people I know need to be linked to.

As always, this page is great. Full of energy and interesting people, even though we don't know their names, faces, or even really their motives. Though what happened to Barnabas John and that Molotov Keg they dropped on him?

I'm gettin' good at saying that.

That gun in the bottom panel looks suspiciously like a Nerf gun with a propane tank stuck on. Am I close? Because flaming Nerf darts would just rock out of control.

It... doesn't fire bullets.

That's all I'll say.

Ooooooh... I hate how you do that. Suppose I should've expected it, though. >_<

I felt very nerdy this morning when I saw that bottom panel and recognized the gun. Looks like a FN 303, a "less lethal" souped up paintball gun. Which raises the question of how useful Pepperballs are against people who regularly carry masks and goggles.

I swear I'm not a gun nut, it's just a really distinctive design for something that's supposed to go in the hands of police rather than 10 year olds.

AHAHA! So OWNED!

That's exactly what it is, Internet Friend! But it won't be shooting pepper balls...

I've only recently noticed your Gmail status notifier. Does it always include little hints at the current situation?

I bet it's apoop gun that fires poop...

Lately, yeah. But mostly because I am loving this scene so much.

I suspected it was a less than lethal riot weapon.

Lessee, what would I put in there... OC? Hardening riot foam? Capacin that affects on skin contact?

Rocks?

Can't wait to see what you thought up for ammo, Spike. I was looking at the page again and noticed something though. He's holding the gun with the stock outside his upper arm, which looks really unnatural. Think about how you have to hold your wrist to do that, kind of pushed out. To raise it into firing position you'd have to lift it out and over your shoulder instead of going straight up as with the natural under the arm position.

Here's my guess: The Cook Family are anti-anti-establishment "Black-Bloc" protesters for hire. They start riots so the cops can end them.

Umm... Your RSS isn't updating.

It still says the latest strip was Oct 30

Really? Huh. I'll look into that, thanks.

Consistantly fantastic!

I don't know anything about guns or explosives or modified paintball guns or poop, so I'll just say how ridiculously happy all of this makes me. Squabbling factions WIN.

As always, I'm waiting impatienly for the new page.

First guess was the Cooks are like the
pinkerton's of old... Sent in to stir up trouble, break up meetings, unions and what not. However maybe just old fashioned anarchists? Possibly militant Luddites who see the rebuilding of the modern and the downfall of the city? The jakes are firing on them, not those there to see Barnabas.
