Templar: Oh my God, did I just do something INTERESTING with the panel layout?

SAINTS PRESERVE US!

And also, change the scene abruptly!

Don't worry, we haven't seen the last of the Cooks. There was a point in putting you through all of that. And it's coming along sooner than you might think. Really and truly, it is.

But for now, we're somewhere else. And special, sparkly stars for anyone guessing the identity of the snob in the final panel. You'll really blow me alway and scare me at the same time. But you guys pretty much already do that whenever you point out something I was sure no one would notice, so I should quit underestimating you, already.

Also, it was pointed out to me that, on the previous page, the riot cop was holding his firearm a little strangely. Sorry about that, to any reading gun geeks; I guess the photo I referenced should have told me as much. But that stock was just too weird to hide under an arm. In any case, hopefully Friday's page is a little more accurate.

Let me know when I mess up, guys! I do appreciate it.

[Wild guess] Benjamin's father. [/Wild guess]

I'm going to be absolutely *amazed* if I'm right.

Hooray for Berets! And pelting stuff at large crowds!

I had a nightmare about Barnabas John.

...Hooray?

(P.S. Judging from what looks like leaves in his hair ... is it that Coliseum guy? What was his name? Graves?)

Ooh, yes. Magnolia's on it. Though Claudius R. Graves was bald (I had to go back and look) and this guy's got sideburns. But I think you're right, it's something with the Coliseum.

(And Spike, this is Jason from New Year's at Dirk's a couple-three years ago, who was showing the altered G.I.Joe videos. In return, you taught us about the Genos. Hi!)

Also, giving Spike's penchant for Templarians having unusual names, I'm still waiting to see if the guy speaking is addressing two people (Dustin and Treasure) or if "Treasure" is being used as a term of endearment.

Magnolia totally wins.

And HI, Jason! Good to hear from you, again!

Hey Spike, your templaraz.com site has been giving me intermittent problems the last few days- sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The other site is fine. I don't know what's up with that, but I thought you should know.

Well, WCN has been movin' servers for the past few days, jdalton. That might be the problem. Try again on Monday, t'see if it's any more reliable.

Glad to see the story moving! But maybe you want the new page link to say Page 17 instead of Page 16 for the second time?

Love,

Your Proofreader

Awww. I thought it was Jimmy Carter. Or the Xenophage guy.
Time for rereads!
Oh, and Treasure is a hot name. Seriously.

Now that I have a SLIGHT idea of what's going on, it looks like Coliseum Guy is on TV and sounds like he's talking to the audience. TRANSITION DEVICE?

Mr. Pierce. Benjamin's boss.

I suspect.

Mr. Pierce is too foul mouthed. If it were him, you'd be crying already.

Well, before reading the newscast I thought it was the patriarch of the Cooks. I'd even assigned "Dustin" to the kid with the ballcap and "Treasure" to the ... oddly pretty girl with the emo hair.

But i suspect I am dreadfully wrong

"Oh, and Treasure is a hot name. Seriously."

Agreed. And "Dustin" is one of my favorite names so I hope this isn't the last we hear of it.

So, I gather from a quick glance at the archives that he's kind of a neo-Roman version of Judge Judy?
