Templar: Amateur psychiatric analysis. Free with purchase.

I sincerely apologize for the pun. I really can't stop myself sometimes. IT'S A SICKNESS, OKAY.

In other news, I've officially had the First Big Speed Bump with the Pre-Order Project. That's the bad news. The good news is that it's not my fault. Sort of.

More on that after I get some sleep.

Just another reminder of how awesome Reagen is. And man, I wish I knew what book Ben had picked up!

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask what the pun was...

It was "Grave Waxing Philosophical".

Wow, now THERE's a grave face. I expected a drooler.

Honestly, I think the grave and sullen face is considerably more creepy than a drooler. Though, perhaps this is because most of the faces in the comic are lively and animated.

I guess I'm the only one who just thought he looked like Dave Navarro?

When I first saw Gordon, I immediately thought of that mummy in the shop we saw earlier.
That dude creeps me out. Glad to see I'm not alone.

Gordon's creepy all right. But he's nothing compared to some punks I actually saw one day in a local gun shop. They had brought their girlfriends along to actually BUY the guns -- typical straw purchase, since they had records and couldn't do it themselves. The girls didn't know a magazine from a front sight, just followed the guys around as they browsed the display cases, drooling at the handguns.

One guy favored a big Para .45. Another liked a Glock. Then came the ultimate comment, the one that chilled me to the bone.

"Hey, Dude...this one goes real well with my sneakers!"

Making a long story short, no one was fooled by these amateurish idiots, not leastwise the off-duty county sheriff working behind the counter. He didn't bother calling it in to the insta-check when the little blonde girl passed him the paperwork for the gun. He called the ATF instead and reported a straw purchase.

They asked him to stall, to say the system was down, and to come back in an hour to re-run it. The fools complied. They came back, "reran" the "background check", paid cash for the guns, and walked out. The girls handed the weapons to the young men outside, and the ATF agents pounced. Everything was on tape.

But I'll never forget that tossed-off comment, turning a deadly weapon into a FASHION ACCESSORY.
