Ah ha, very telling what the women said, "Any stupe in this town waves a sign an' it's Molotov's all over." Quite a nice suppression tactic. Though a population motivated to preserve free speech wouldn't tolerate such an oppression any better than a traditional government strong arm.

If antiquated slang can work for Firefly, it can work for Templar. I, too, like the fact that Scip doesn't believe in the Cooks, but Ray does. It's a fun twist on those two's traditional Mulder/Scully-like relationship.
Appendix to my previous question about Cons, is Anime Iowa on the Midwest con circuit? If that's the case, I'd probably be able to stop by the booth, along with a couple of friends I've shanghai'd into reading the comic.

Just thought I'd share: I was at Publix the other day and I saw Passover Plauge Candy. They had gummies in the shape of red Xs, locusts, and first born sons. My first thought was Ben's Pemmican cereal, and then I fell over laughing.
