Templar: Well, if anybody there would know...

...it would probably be Sunny.

A vibrant, promising career in hooliganism, cut short by a sound beating with a hockey stick. Tragic. Tragic.

Oh yeah, PS.

Got some samples in the mail, today.

Okay, but not great. A couple misaligned plates, some offset issues. Called about it, gettin' it taken care of. But I'm about 85%-90% satisfied as-is. Looks... professional. It's kinda eerie, really.

Squeals of joy echoing over from the Pacific Northwest.

He's actually eating chips while sucking on his lollypop ? And speaking, so that his interlocutor can enjoy the content of his mouth ! Ugh !

And Ben has been smelling like a dumptruck all this time and nobody told him ? Not even Reagan ?

You are exactly one page too early, Wood. :D

And Sunny's not eating chips (I'll clear up what that bag is soon), but, he is indeed eating more junkfood, AROUND a lollipop.

He likes his sugar.

Ben knows that the riot paint stank, he just kinda...got used to it. Like the folks who live down in Coalinga can't smell the stockyards (what we call "Causchwitz") anymore.

Is Reagan actually being *sensitive* for a change? Or is it just that chain-smoking leaves her with no sense of smell?

Your plot points are so rarely predictable, I wouldn't stress about people getting 'em right once in a while.
.
Anyway, Sunny's dead-on about the degreaser. That orange oil stuff'll take off just about anything. Smells good too. Though I never worried about fucking up my sperm, as I have none.

I wonder why Bill didn't suggest it. He seemed to be fairly knowledgeable about the riot paint otherwise.

NICE. BTW, if you got them, it probably means you've got boxes coming to you in a matter of DAYS.

Congratulations!

Now to get rid of them!

I think the sweet smelling stuff he's referring to is TCE. Smells ok from a distance, kinda gets you high if you breathe too much, and sorta gives you cancer.

The pics of the book samples remind me of something I've been wondering about... In webcomic form, you don't get the side by side pages of the book format, which I think creates a very different feel. Do you think about the compositions across the potential fold as you're creating the pages? Or will that aspect of composition be more or less random?

Book looks good. We wants it.

Bill presumably didn't suggest it *because* it rots your sperm/nerves/gives you cancer.

Fishy's totally right.

"Bill" is significantly older than Ben. Sunny isn't. And it's clear Bill's got kids, more than one. So he has what could be described as a paternal feeling towards people Ben's age (or however old he probably thinks Ben is). sunny, on the other hand, sees him as a comrade (Which will be elaborated on on the next page, too).

As a father, Bill probably wouldn't suggest a "kid" like Ben run off and slather himself in dangerous chemicals. Sunny's close enough to Ben's age to still be halfway-convinced anyone under 35 is impervious to harm, despite his own experience to the contrary.

Guh, SO WORDY.

Ahh, see, learn something new everyday. I'd never heard of TCE, and didn't know it smelled sweet or was dangerous. Whereas the citrus degreasers I'm familiar with do a fine job removing dried paint from skin, smell like oranges, and are non-toxic. I assumed that was what Sunny was talking about, and was mistaken about the nerve-agent effects.
