Okay, so, Templar's tip jar has rolled over again. (Thank you!)
But!
It's not going to count for this week.
I promised you guys a gratis three-page week, and I still intend to deliver. So this week, Templar will update three times, and NEXT week, it'll update three times as well.
'Zat cool?
cool witn me ^_^
No. I am mortally offended.
Just how much do you make off this comic typically, just from the Tip Jar? I ask because I'm considering doing a short webcomic myself, and I might include a similar Tip Jar with the incentive of adding backgrond information in prose to the comic. I'm just wondering if its some nice pocket lining, or if you've been able to actually modify your financial situation with our moneyosity.
As always, the comic is excellent - I've had phone conversations not unlike this one actually, and it's kinda cool, kinda funny, and kinda scary to see it presented so. I love that Curio's taking off make-up while she's talking - for some reason that in and of itself just makes it hilarious.
Keep being awesome.
Sounds good. At the rate this is going, it almost seems logical to make it 3 times a week either way, with some oher kind of bonus instead. I mean, that was what? 4 days? Maybe 5 days. And the tip jar was full again.
Perhaps there could be somte other kind of incentive. Perhaps origanal sketchs(not water colored or charcoled[never tell those 2 styles apart] of course). Just a random sketch for say... $10-$20? That might actually get you even more tips becuse alot of people reallylike your art style and the intermisson was great, even though it as just in pincle.
This may be a bit to much work, and that I would understand. But people cold be patiant and might be willing to wait a week or 2 to get their origanal sketch. I mean, seriously, what would thier big rush be? Were they planning on having a formal cocktail party to unvail it?
So bassicly, to sumerize. Maybe you could just turn this into a 3x week comic with a $10-$20 extra art sketch with a week or 2 grace period. Perhaps you could do a trial run over a months time or so sometime. Or not. I'm just giving an idea on how you could possibly get a bit more money.
P.S.- Thanks for telling me what fun was. Still not 100% sure on what it is really, but thats alright. Apperently the rest of the little answers on the pyrimid were on some union strike. I just had a home made lemon-chicken parmisan-alfredo pasta.
I dunno if i would have time for both Templar AND sketches, K.C., on account the comic itself takes so long to do. And I'm a little wary about selling original art, right now. Not to say it'll never happen, but Templar's originals are seriously raw. I don't fix the mistakes, or even erase the pencils all the way. Frankly, they're a mess. And I'm not sure I would want people to see just how much Photoshop TLC they need to turn out decently.
And I had Beef Pad See Eiw for dinner. I shouldn't have. Bleagh.
Ah, alright. I get what your saying. Also, incase it wasn't obivous(reading over it now, I realize it wasnt), the whole pyrimid and dinner thing(actually my breakfast, i sleep wierd hours) was in refrence to my comment about the 8-ball and not eaitng till i learnedwhat Funk music was. the pyramid is was that little block they put in the 8-bal that flaots around.
