I can't log into Webcomics Nation's FTP right now because of the server move, so the tip jar graphic's not accurate; it's actually a buck off, and that's the closest denomination graphic I have already on the server.

So, you guys are two bucks away from a three-page week for Templar, not three.

Just sayin'.

Also, All of Sparkneedle is up. All there is of it for now, anyway. And it's even slowly being colored in, so the bit that's black and white shouldn't stay black and white forever. If you can spare the time, page back to the start and read from the beginning. I'd love your opinion on what you think it's about.

Blikada's still updating weekly over at Serializer, running through all the old pages. New pages will follow, and I still hafta get ref stuff to my artist. Oof.

And on the matter of Lucas and Odessa: yeah, it's gone.

A while back, I pretty much told Lisa Jonte (Girlamatic's editor) I wouldn't be able to update L&O for, like, the foreseeable future. Years, basically. Templar was too big a deal. And we both decide L&O had sat un-updated long enough. So, it got nuked. That was too bad and everything, I know it was liked. But it just wasn't where my energy was. I'd like to finish the story one day, but not now. I've just got too much going on.

Sorry...

But enough with the navel gazin'.

You should probably be reading Lords of Death and Life, by Jonathan Dalton. I've mentioned him before, and this is a new project of his, a "Mesoamerican epic in progress." That is to say, it stars pre-Columbian Mayans, and draws heavily from their lifestyle and mythology; I mean, even the word balloons of this thing are Mayan-style. It is WILD, and I can't wait to see where it's going. I love the art, I love the topic, and I love the layout. it's updating weekly, so be sure to bookmark it.

It sucks to have to end a series, but if the passion for it is gone, it's gone. There's nothing else to be done but move on. But man, is that a tough thing to do sometimes.

I loved Sparkneedle.. Dark, sad, and violent.. but beautiful, too, and I ain't just tlaking about the artwork.

I like mostly how much of a story can be told without words; comics are an art that turns me on IN THE PANTS, because of stuff like this. The uncolored version can be sort of confusing at times, though.

Hmm... not much ofa dog person, but I'm curious: Is the pup that refuses to cover his shame with you now? Ya said there was a frost delay of some sort...

Oh, and I'm starting new traditon when I post in blog replys. Tell me what you think:

K.C.-'Words to live by' presents:
"I have a cape! I make the F***ING woosh noise!"~unknown-assumed result of a drunken collage party.

P.S.- Like? Dislike? Confused? E-mail me or sy so in your post. I'll be happy to explain.

Am I a sick monkey for having a Vinland Pemmican jingle in my head now?

Does the reaction change if I tell you the lyrics are

"Vinland Pemmican
Tastes so Good
'cause it's made like grandma Ingrid would
(jazz Hands) If she weren't DEAAAAAAAD"

?

Dude, Spike, you gotta stop linking me. I'll never be able to pay you back in kind.

I haven't read Sparkneedle yet, but I will say that I am- erm- somewhat addicted now to Playing with Dolls. Is- is that wrong? (*sob* Don't say it, I know it is!)

I'm sad to see Sparkneedle finished as this has probably been one of my favorite webcomics ever. Haunting images that remain in your mind long after reading it. It uses archetypes in a fresh intelligent fashion. Sparkneedle should receive an award for the best use of demons and angels - avoiding the usual adolescent cliches.

I was hoping there would be more - as an earlier post on your blog implied Maira and Drimmer would have children and this would be shown in a future comic. However, that's selfish of me as you are putting all your energy into Templar and Sparkneedle has reached a point where it can be finished. Better to have a complete story arc then to slowly wither away from lack of time and interest.

Oh man. That's the end of Sparkneedle? If that was meant to be taken the way I took it, that was really sad. And was it just me, or did the male demon remind anyone else increasingly of Gene from Templar? (I love him too by the way. So far he and Zoradysis are my favorite characters.)
I loved it though. Loved it too bits. In my eyes, it was one of those things you really want to know what happens, but when you do you're sad that it's over.
Few things make me feel like that. The first thing that comes to mind for that was the Lord of the Rings book. (I am a Tolkein Fanatic.)
But now I'm rambling. So I'll stop. Love all your comics I've read to date!

I just went through the archives of Sparkneedle. Amazing

I just thought you should know.
