Hi, guys.
Call me nosy, but I'm feeling all social and stuff. I know some of the people who post in this blog already, but not all of them.
Tell me about yourselves! Even if you usually only lurk. I'm curious.

You can be nosy and poke around the bios at the profiles, or you can be social and chat.
I go by Xazy most places. I admin an anime lyrics website (formerly animelyrics.com and now animelyrics.tv but the site is down for server stuff right now and you probably don't care /that/ much anyhow). I was born, raised, and am currently living in Tucson, Arizona. It's not much like Templar. :> And for one final piece of demographical information, I'm a college student.
Hi! I'm Magnolia, I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY, and I'm a freshman at RISD going into illustration. I WANNA DO COMICS TOO LOL. I also like a lot of movies, but generally only oldish ones. I try not to be a huge film asshole about it though. I also do karate sometimes!
20-something math teacher and classical musician (violist) in Texas. Bookworm, computer nerd, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, and generally as non-Texan as you can get (no accent even!). Think that covers the general stuff.
my name is Duncan. I'm a dishwasher by profession. currently living in lancaster, PA. i drive a '76 Plymouth Valiant and play the banjo, guitar, bass and am learning the bagpipes. i also enjoy World of Warcraft
Hi, I'm Carey. I go by Kittenpants on LJ and DeviantART. I'm an artist and jack-of-all trades. (Jane-of-all-trades? No, that sounds dumb.) I'm interested in everything from ancient Greek religion to culturejamming to linguistics. And a lot of points in-between, but I don't want to ramble on for pages.
Weeeeell, I'm a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design, majoring in sequential art. I admin and contribute to a science-fiction world-building and storytelling forum called Omniverse Zero ( www.omniversezero.com/forum ). If all goes according to plan, I'll be writing for DC's Vertigo line and raking in whole twenty dollar bills by the spadeful.
Hi. I'm Rich. I'm 23. I live in Philadelphia. I study English at Temple University. I write fiction and the occasional shitty poem. I work as a Telemarketer, for now. What else do you need to know?
I'm Annu a Molecular Biology grad student in Colorado. Work in an office with no windows because electron microscopes need to be in the basement. Also a fencer which is great fun.
Recently made a friend a cake out of meatloaf (with mashed potato frosting) for his birthday, with "penis, haha" written on the top in ketchup.
In short, I'm insane and weird.
Well, I got irritated at you on your forum once, said so loudly and left. Hehheh. My love for the comic overrides any disagreements I have, though.
I write a lot, which I'm good at, and draw some, which I'm not good at. I can carry on simple conversations in Finnish, bake an awesome cake, and do general computer repair. I'm closer to 30 than 20.
xD Eh. I don't read the blog much, but I just got through the archive and have fallen in love with the comic. It's like... real life. But not.
Anyhow, I'm (perhaps too proudly) Canadian, from Vancouver, and I'm Female. I currently go to high school ^^
Anime/Manga Fanatic. American Comic Fanatic. Book Fanatic. Webcomic Fanatic. Writer. Straight-A Student. That about sums it up =P
^^ Pleasure to meet you!
I'm a long-time lurker, and I think I saw your rat mummification before I saw Templar. I majored in Near Eastern Archaeology in college, and, well, I won't get to excavate there any time soon, so I just do database work. I'm also a huge fan of the concept of 'total environments' -- and Templar seems to be full of people making their own.
I'm Trina, 21 and currently studying abroad in York, England, but I go to school with the lovely ladies at Mount Holyoke. I found you by accident, and I think at the time, you had three pages up. The art was so beautiful... And you had an honest to goodness fat hick who was strong, abrasive, and had a sense of humor. Wasn't making up for anything, and I feel in love.
I am addicted to webcomics, and anything nerdy. I roleplay, have Sincerists as NPCs in my campaigns. I am a fat/chubby girl, but losing both as food is expensive in the UK, and classes are DAMN far away. I am lazy, and bi, and Discordian (there are no rules anywhere, the Goddess prevails), and dream every night. I hate zombies as much as I love them. I also laugh when anyone sticks their tongue in my mouth.
That's about it.
Hallo. I'm Canadian, and I have lived in two of three territories and three of ten provinces. My parents are from the Caribbean. I like chocolate and socks, but not together. I also like comics, which combine well with either.
Books are pretty. Words are fun. People should use more often: defenestrate, chagrin, Madagascar, lugubrious, brainchild.
Well, I just recently discovered the "Templar, AZ" thing at all... so I wouldn't say I lurk yet. That requires repetition. Maybe I peek by now, though.
I'm a freelance illustrator and art director for ScrollQuest: Real Life Treasure Hunts, from somewhere around Washington, DC. I live for mountains, I adore storms, and I really detest broccoli. You've got yourself a new reader in the mid-Atlantic, now, and he'll probably run into you at a convention somewhere.
I'm a middle-aged oilfeild truck driver in Alberta, putting myself through tech school one semester at a time. Currently in study mode, but I pick up a few shifts at a warehouse on weekends. Internet is tough to find in the 'patch, but I follow Spike when I'm living in town and put in my few cents now and then.
Hi, I'm Celia, and I go by mocknot pretty much anywhere I post, but for the most part I tend to just lurk. I'm two months away from graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Art (am studying Illustration). I don't remember where I found your comics, but I started reading your blog because you posted links to photos of 18th century freak show people.
Otherwise, I read a lot, and have a mild map obsesstion.
Hey Spike,
I comment here sometimes, but I'm not on the forums.
I go by Kat more or less everywhere. 25, hail from Ottawa (Ontario!), workin on a PhD in psych. Webcomic addict. Live with my fiance in a little one bedroom apartment, and lovin' it. I'm a huge science geek, love sci-fi and videogames (<3 WoW), RPGs and other assorted geekery.
I'm a big RPer - I even started writing up some of the adventures of my characters, and it's surprisingly addictive. (I... I can't stop! *sob*)
At least I'm good at it. But then, I'm good at everything I do. *impish grin*
Been reading this thing for ages, and I'm excited for the book - my brother is taking an animation program, so I like to show him unique artistic styles, and yours is so lovely. Especially the layouts in the cityscapes. Seeing the work he puts into his layouts, I can really appreciate yours better!
Kat
I'm a recent graduate of Colgate University where I majored in biology and Japanese. I live in upstate NY where I'm a forensic scientist for the NY state police. I found this comic through a project wonderful ad on Questionable Content. I also have a webcomic, but it's about gay vampires and not nearly as awesome as this one.
My name's Elliot (Ell for short). I've always been interested in making webcomics, because I have a lot of ideas, but unfortunately I can't draw. I guess that makes me a writer.
I enjoy Progressive rock, Grunge, playing drums, reading, video games, computers, poetry (specifically Edgar Allan Poe's), comedy, and long walks on beaches.
It's Tekk for short. Only caught the comic recently, but fell in love with it like no one's business. I do the whole "public high school" dealie, so don't kidnap and rape me, plzthnx.
In my spare time I enjoy listening.
So far as I can tell if you come across a nanojath, it's me. I'm not actually particularly mysterious. I first got into comics through my older brother, who brought home Iron Man and Spiderman in the late 70's - when I was in high school I subscribed to the New Teen Titans for a couple of years and then drifted away from the medium. I read about underground comix in a book I checked out from the public library as a teen, but I didn't realize there was a thriving alternative comics scene until a college roommate brought home a punk rock magazine that had an article in it about Love and Rockets. My day job is taking care of a two year old; when he's sleeping I do very dull scientific research online. I write a song lyric every single day.
Hi, I'm a 21 year old college student, studying art in Milwaukee. I used to post at the forum for a while, but I ran out of interesting things to say, so now I just lurk. I currently work at the university library as a shelver.
Right now I'm trying to organize my time enough to produce a minicomic/webcomic thing, but school is getting in the way of that right now.
I saw Templar and liked it because I've never ever ever ever been able to draw like that, and something about the pacing sucked me in.
I live in Toronto, Canada, this is my username and always has been, and I recently graduated from university. I draw all the time, I really do, but I still admire your output.
Hi, Spike. I'm Avram, a forty-something from NYC. I'm a long-time nerd and comics fan, though I'm mostly into indie art comics, and I'm still nerving myself up to do a webcomic.
Bragh. I'm a college dropout with nothing better to do than try to quit smoking and to read your comic.
Nice to meet you.
Hi! I'm Dane. I live in Knoxville, TN, USA. I study linguistics at the University of Tennessee and work in a kitchen. I also fence (epee) and make music whenever possible. I often dream of making my own comic, but time is definitely an issue.
The reason I got interested in Templar in the first place was your constructed world, which is awesome. I stayed for the characters and dialogue, which are also awesome.
I'm Sean, obviously, and I'm now located in Massachusetts, though am originally from Michigan. I'm the production manager at a local community access TV station, and do occasional freelance video stuff. Hobbies include cooking, bicycling, and writing "Sad Libs", which started as an experiment to help me learn JavaScript. (sadibs.seakingdom.net)
I first discovered your work with Lucas and Odessa when GAM launched (jeez, that was 4 years ago, wasn't it?). I look forward to seeing that story continue someday, but Templar is just as excellent.
Hiya! Call me Noelle. {And dear GOD, I really wanted to say "Ishmael." What the crap.} I've been reading for about a year now, and I used to comment somewhat frequently, but after I made myself look silly at one point, I stopped. Because I'm a coward even on the internets. A big part of it was because I really, really love this comic and, to be specific, I felt like I had unnecessarily critiqued the art when there was no reason to. I don't know. I can be pretty stupid.
I'm a senior in highschool right now, and, really, I'm no one special. I live in atlanta and I can't drive. I dunno.
I don't wanna sound like a suck-up, but Templar has really had a big influence on me. I can see it in my "art" and in the {crappy} stories I write. Recently, I started work on a comic of my own with a friend of mine. {You can waste your time reading it here: http://www.webcomicsnation.com/fortunefavors/fortunefavors/series.php } The art is bad, the designs trite, and there's only six goddamn pages of it so far, but I never would have started it at all if reading Templar hadn't made me really, truly want to do it. I've planned projects and comics before, but I've never really done anything with them. I hope I can stick to it.
Yikes. What is this, an autobiography? That would be a lame, short book. Um. How should I wrap this up? I'm going to college in the fall, and, uh, I don't know what else. I'm gonna major in english, and I once threw up macaroni out of my nose and onto my friend's dog.
Damn. I really AM a suck up. Ew.
hi. i'm a long time lurker, first time poster.
i'm a 23 yr old nursing studunt at University of Portland. i'm an atheist stuck in a catholic school, being stared at by the creepy jesuses on the walls. i go by little_s42 on LJ...
you have a wide spectrum of a fan base...
I go by Wark (or some slight variation) most places on the internet. I'm a 21-year-old college student from Minnesota, currently studying computer science. I used to work at Sears (a good place not to work... seriously), but now work at my school running the computer lab and doing occasional tech support.
Other than that, typical internet addict. Spend far too much time reading webcomics, but I guess if I didn't, I probably wouldn't be here. I think I saw one of your ads on Something Positive, and was amazed by the distinct art style. Have been reading ever since.
Hey, it's Xazy!
Anyway, hi. Long-time lurker, first-time hydrophobic yeti wrangler, or something. I am Jill, another Brooklynite. I do a comic called Catband. I'm an English lit major and I spend my free time stealing Wet Paint signs and scaring yuppies.
Hi. I'm Kris. I lurk. I go by either kristress or krisravenna in most places on the net. I'm an EMT from Indiana; 34; mom. I'm not going to school because I've sworn it off (and there was much swearing indeed, after an unproductive 8-year try). I don't draw, but I write. And I keep proselytizing Templar to everyone who makes the mistake of reminding me of webcomics.
Curiosity mangled the feline you know... Ah well. I'm Michael, a 23 year old video game reviewer for RPGamer.com. I also draw, and in my spare time I complain a lot.
Lina here, linadarkstar on livejournal. Undergrad math major with tendencies towards translation. Things I am trying to learn in the meantime include writing, painting, music comprehension, and figuring out what that smell is.
Nicetameetcha.
Hey.
I mostly lurk, although I've been reading Templar since about the third or fourth update. I'm 45, live in the San Diego area, and I sing and do tech support (in about equal amounts) for a living. I have two kids in their teens. I'm a major geek, been fooling with computers, reading comics, and playing tabletop RPGs since I was 14.
Oh, and I'm bipolar type 1, and way too familiar with psych meds and psychiatrists - I've been in Ben's position a few times, which has added some personal interest to an already fascinating story.
Hi, I'm Matt. Like a lot of people, I started reading when Penny Arcade linked to you a few months back. I think I saw some of your stuff before that (I remember seeing the mummified rat thing somewhere awhile back) but didn't really start reading your comics until Templar.
Not much to say, really. I'm 21, work in dial-up tech support, and I really like comics and the internet.
I'm Zach. I'm 18 years old, just out of high school and not doing anything at all at the moment. It's really boring and gives me lots of time for the internet. I probably wouldn't have ever found your webcomic if I had gone to college right away, which is a moderately distressing thought.
I love your writing and art, top notch material!
<3333
I was raised by reindeer.
I go by McClaud, McDucky or EmCeeKhan. I have a blog, but nothing fancy. I live in the middle of nowhere aka Omaha, Nebraska.
I like reading your comic.
Hey, I'm Wood ! I'm 31 and I live in Brest, France. It looks like I'm the only french poster so far. People over here read a lot of comics, but it looks like it"s hard to get them interested in webcomics that aren't in french, or that aren't semi-autobiographical...
I read a lot of comics, inline or otherwise, in french or in english, and I'm always curious about new things.
Recently I've invloved myself in the french translation of "Between Two Worlds" and "The Broken Mirror", two webcomics by finnish artist JJ Nääs and Brittish writer Elanor Cooper. It's only an amateur-level translation, but it's better than nothing...
I discovered your work with Lucas and Odessa, and I love pretty much everything you've done yet.
Hey, my name is Mel and I am from New Zealand! I'm a 21 year old Uni student studying Law, Linguistics and Psychology. I will probably be an academic for the rest of my life! I'm a big fan of a number of webcomics, Templar included, and am incredibly amazed by all the talented artists and writers out there like yourself. I...am also a vegetarian?
I live in South Australia. Adelaide to be exact. I go by the name dabble in most places, including Live Journal. I am 37, exceedingly large boned, tattooed and the rest is with out notice.
I live in South Australia. Adelaide to be exact. I go by the name dabble in most places, including Live Journal. I am 37, exceedingly large boned, tattooed and the rest is with out notice.
And am an idiot at posting apparently.
Hi there. I'm Kevin a.k.a. Bard. I'm 29 and a resident of the Chicagoland area. I used to write (horrible) fantasy stories for Wizards of the Coast. These days, I'm splitting my time between writing a novel, composing a stage musical, painting a deck of tarot cards, and plotting (yes, what else is new?) a comic. I like long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners, and telling perfect strangers about myself at a quarter to five in the morning.
Hi, I'm Kriz. I found Templar, AZ when it was advertised at Something Positive. I don't do forums because I don't have time, but I keep in touch with neat stuff on the Internet through my LiveJournal friends. For the same reason, I'm keeping my PBEM gaming to *one* game, and my FTF gaming to once a month.
I'm also working on my dissertation in Geography, raising a husband and son, and trying to find time to write fiction and finish an embroidery project or two. La!
I'm LLK and I make pictures move. Occasionally.
Usually the pictures are of little monsters.
Hey there! Been reading your comic for a while now. (Brought here from Questionable Content.) Just a Russian Jew performance artist living in Salt Lake City. I'm a living statue and play the folk harp. Not much else to tell. . .
Cheers!
I am a lurking fanboy who first became aware of you via the SA Forums a few yeara back. You = awesome, and I love yer work. Myself I'm a 38 yr old sysadmin in Houston with a beautiful wife, two kids, three dogs, and deeply nerdy and anti-social tendencies. (you would not believe how tough it is for me to type this.) I was banned from SA for flaming Rich and Zach in FYAD, and now post there under a different name.
EDITING M'SELF I'm not "anti-social", more like "somewhat introverted"
I'm Felis, I came here through Something Positive, and I'm thoroughly hooked.
I'm 33, biologically female, in Florida and currently "on hiatus" from my stupid job. So I have lots of time to read webcomics and eat popcorn and yell at the cats. It's a wild life, friends. A wild, wild life.
I think I'd read anyway, but Reagan is really the character that does it for me.
My names Neil, i'm 22 and living in the midlands of england.
I'm an unemployed programmer who, like some people here, spends too much time reading web comics. I think I got to Templar through an ad on another web comic I read, or it could have been a friend who is now denying it (they deny recommending most of the stuff they've given me, oddly enough they're proud they got me into sexy losers, that comic gave me enough jokes to ensure that the bar stool next to me is always empty.... except fro that one time..... but i don't want to talk about it....)
I'd post in the comments more, but i'm just really freaking lazy.
Eagles is short for Eagleheart, my typical SN, taken several years ago from the title of a song by the Finnish Powermetal band Stratovarius. People call me Eagle, Eags, Iggles, Igs, Miss Heart, and KidneyHawk. My real name is Sarah, I like to read (lots of webcomics), write prolifically, and play with photoshop. I'm an eighteen-year-old Canadian, I work a part-time job in retail (whoo.) and plan to go to school later in the year and take courses to become an Early Childhood Educator. I'm currently in a long distance, internet relationship with my boyfriend, and we're coming up on our first anniversary in April.
Reagan is my favorite character <3
Hi! My name's Jessica, I'm 21, and from Ontario, Canada. I'm an artist--I studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design--and I also write a bit, though not at the same time.
I've been reading Templar since Penny Arcade linked it, however long ago, and it's quickly become my favourite webcomic. Ever. I love the dialogue and expressiveness of the characters.
Almost 30 year old rennaissance kinda guy. Work for a non-profit arts org, play bass and run powerpoint at churches, program for fun, play games, bake bread, commute by bus, never finish folding all of my clothes on laundry day.
And I have personal issues with required email fields. If someone wants to contact me that badly, they can visit my site and use a form. Much better than increasing my junk mail even more than the current levels.
Hello! I'm a college student, 18 years old. I've been reading your strip for a year or so, and I really like it, it's in my top ten (and I'm a little addicted to webcomics, so that's saying a lot). Thanks for sticking with it!
I'm John. I run my own little website/webcomic thing, and a Halo Wars fan site. Currently a college student studying video games up in Ottawa, Ontario. ^^
I'm doing my damndest to graduate from the University of Chicago with a math degree this year, despite the fact that I have come to hate Math with the passion of a thousand burning suns. I dabble. Back in the day I wrote a sprite comic that wasn't terrible, I've built my own musical instruments, I'm tooling around with Inform- but lately all of my projects sort of self distruct.
You, Spike, are living the dream, and your worldbuilding is awesome. Rock on.
Interesting. Either people are entering their email as a website, or this thingamajig is linking their email since they didn't enter a website. Either way, I still don't recommend it.
My name is Patrick, i'm a first time poster writing this from Liverpool, England. A country where the placenames don't ususally need a comma after them because there's only one of each. I just quit my job with no backup plan because I hit 25 and realized data entry is serfdom for the soul.
Write more 'Playing With Dolls', I guarentee that is what you will be remembered for. Also, what happened with Lucas and Odessa?
Do they fuck or what?
Hi, I'm Jerry, long-time lurker, bookkeeper, website maintainer, wannabe programmer, Oakland, California resident, volunteer radio DJ. Got here from Something Positive and I want to have Reagan's myopic, foul-mouthed children. Where are those links to 19th century circus freaks?
I found this comic when it was advertised on Something Positive. I'm 26, working nights, finishing my BFA at Kennesaw State University, and thinking about grad school. I live near Atlanta, but don't hold that against me; I'm moving away ASAP. Want to start my own webcomic when I can clear a little space in my schedule.
ummm...my name is Helga and I like to dispense pain...
Hey, I'm Hayley, 20-year-old college student, one of those annoyingly idealist types who's into poststructuralism and rampant liberalism, hooray. I play cello, write (sometimes well!), study Latin/global media analysis/Chinese, and drink copious amounts of cinnamon apple spice tea. In my free time I like to pretend I'm someone else, and maybe go speak in fake foreign languages in public, just to mix things up. I'm relatively new to this comic, but it's already one of my favorites, along with Girl Genius and Scary Go Round. My favorite color is purple.
Recent arrival to L.A. who abandoned a wife and 3 kids to persue a dreamjob at a famous animation studio. Don't fret. If things work out, (please God let it work out) they will be joining me. 35 y/o geek with a penchant for webcomics, real comics, cartoons, movies and other assorted eye candy. Into graphic design and some photography. Love the site. Keep up the good work.
C:)
I'm Jonathan. I live in Arlington VA and otherwise you already know me.
BUT HOLY SHIT LOOK AT ALL THE RESPONSES.
Hey, I'm Sarra. Born and raised in Seattle. I'm 18, and a sophomore in college. I'm majoring in Japanese and Foreign Affairs (focused on East Asia). I wait tables to help pay my way through school, and have thus far managed to NOT hate humanity with a burning passion because of it! ..We'll see how long I last. I'm an LJ addict (colorless_sky), and a bit of a /b/tard. I ride horses, and used to compete in show jumping and dressage during high school (with a bit of jousting for fun). Have been known to table top roleplay, weight lift, model on the occassion, and beat people senseless with my tennis racquet.
The interwebz has lied to us all, there ARE females on it!
Hi Spike. I'm 21, from Saskatchewan, Canada and I've been a huge fan of yours since...umm...1998. I think. Creepy? I only lurk on here. Yes, I'm definitely creepy. I think I posted a comment once before, under a different name, asking you if you had ever heard of Billy Childish.
I was going to animation school until I decided that I hated it. I spend my spare time trying to make drawings, and comics, that don't suck. I'm never sure how much success I have in that department. I also play the cello, but I'm not very good at that either.
I enjoy weird movies, comics, cheese & crackers, and I am obsessed with England, for some reason I cannot fathom...
Hey! Lurker and reader here, from about... Oh, I found the comic right when you had finished with the Sincerist diversion. I discovered this comic right when I was taking a western civ class at college (I'm 30, and thus a returning non-traditional student), which made a really good combination, as it turns out.
I'm going to college to get my mechanical engineering degree, but I continue to harbor secret ambitions to be a musician and host my own TV show, for fun if nothing else.
Keep up the good work!
I'm another one named Rich. 24, Vancouver, animation student. I quit a job throwing luggage around to draw cartoons. Classmates call me "the Oracle" for my tendency to remember really obscure and useless things.
My secret ambition is to publish a comic series that I've been tinkering with and repeatedly overhauling for about eight years now. I might just go ahead and publish online if I find the time while working.
Also I hate wearing shoes. Seriously. Fuck shoes. Not a fan of pants either, but there are limits to what you can get away with at school.
I found your site some time ago. I don't remember through who, but Lucas and Odessa was still updating.
Remain awesome, Spike.
Hey, I'm Yuki! I found out about Templar from Something positive.
I was born in SoCal and then moved to WA when I was around 9ish. this area stinks because I hate snow. I am in my 20's and have 4 kids... Yikes!
Lesee.. Templar was the comic that made me decide to go with Webcomics nation as the host for my webmanga/webcomic Nendaiki. Which isn't like, anything near as good as Templar at all. But it's only 19 pages long so someday maybe we'll be good. :P
Humm, well, not much else about me really! I've got to go make dinner now!
Ja!
I lurk. And read, occasionally.
I showed Templar to my roommate and, to this day, she doesn't understand why I read it and I can't seem to explain it to her. What's up with that?
And since this is essentially anonymous... Today I secretly followed some poor, random fellow that I don't know from one side of my college's campus to the other, simply because I was enraptured with the pants he was wearing. Is that weird?
...They were really nice pants, though.
Well, I've been reading, and being happy during the three-a-week weeks since almost the beginning.
I never really comment, but still plan on bragging about how I thought the comic was awesome from the start once it gets really big and popular and takes over the internet.
Im Amarys. i read stuff.
I'm Mimi, I live in the Bay Area in California, and I work in a comic shop. I've been reading Templar for a while now, I don't even remember how I found it anymore. I also love Playing With Dolls, and I hope you'll do another one eventually.
I like long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners, and flirting with geeks then telling them what losers they are. I LIVE off of this comic. It rocks.
Hey, how's it going. I guess I'm one of several lurkers here, from the West 'Burbs of Chicago. I used to live in DeKalb, which really drags down your social and artistic life like a 500lb chain around your neck. Actually, I met you a few years ago at the Wizard World Con in Chicago. '04, maybe? It left a positive impression on myself and my man, both of us being inspired to write and draw our own stuff, even if so far it's just for an audience of - well, two. Tried to do a local art night, but full time jobs and class and living two hours away made it impossible. So now I pretty much work the 9-5 grind in the burbs, do some art, bead work a little, and dream about a life in the Pacific Northwest. Then again, with the distinct possibility of Chi-town landing Olympics '16, maybe I'll stick around for a little bit. ;p
I dig Templar, absolutely adore Playing with Dolls, and still light a candle every now and then for Lucas and Odessa. Rock on, dude.
I'm Jason, I live in Hilo on the Big Island of Hawai'i... I'm a computer guy for one of the telescopes, run a small studio and play music a bit, and generally geek out.
Oh, and I work to secure voting machines... amazing what people think is a good idea sometimes.
Templar rocks. That is all.
-j
Eighteen. Cashier. Internet junkie. Musical taste is very lacking - cheesy eighties music, stoner metal, and alt rock.
Very messy person.
Hello. I'm one of those creepy internet guys, but I'm only very new at it--pretty much just a trainee. Drop out dorm rat currently rotting in Oklahoma, I was linked to this site by Penny Arcade. Sorta surprised I'm posting, to be honest, since lurking is damn near a second career for me. This is the second post I've put on any forum of any kind since the new year.
Your comic's something else though. The setting tickles me. It's as if an entire town suddenly lost their inhibitions, and began to act out their good ideas. And the bad ones. I've been a fan since I tore through the archives, and, God willing, I'll keep reading until you finish.982
Hi, I'm Erin, and I've been a lurker for about a year now. I can't remember how I found this webcomic, but I've been hooked ever since. I'm 20, live in Ohio, am going to SSU for Visualist Design, and have been working on storylines for graphic novels since I was in the 7th grade. I work at Tim Hortons sellin' the java and getting free caffeine and a tiny paycheck in return. Eventually I'll stop lurking and start posting in the forums, until then, ta.
Hola. I'm TwystNeko, pretty much anywhere it matters (SA, IRC, you name it.) Stereotypical computer geek, early 30's. I'm also one of those semi-creative people - I can't draw to dave my life, but give me a bit of latex and ... NO. Not THAT kind of latex. Balloons! I twist them. You could say I'm a professional airhead, I guess.
I've been enjoying Templar for as long as you've been writing it - I absolutely love Reagan, and some of the absolutely genius ideas you've had - Clay bars would be awesome.
Heya, Spike! Big time fan. <3
Name's Neza (or Nesa), though on the internet I'm usually referred to as Tyniifin or Tyn (tyniifin is a ... uhm ... *forgets right word* mixed up version of "infinity"). I'm a high school junior, female, and have way too little time to fark around as much as I do. lol
I'd like to freelance art someday, publish my novel, and start up a coffeeshop.
Well, I'm Stephen and I live in Rochester, NY. I'm a huge geek, have the tattoo to prove it with lots more planned and am a huge fan of piercings as well. Basically I think BME is one of the best sites ever made, especially philosophically.
Video games, books, Tabletop RPG's, and way too much interneting are my main hobbies, and I luckily have a fiance who doesn't hate any of them! Otherwise I'm a very introverted individual who tends to lurk in online communities and goes out very very rarely. And I love animals, especially the Cat and Ferrets we have. I also like other people's dogs.
So yeah, I'm not sure what exactly it is that's drawn me into Templar, but both the art and writing are superb and I love the little world you've made thus far.
Welllll, my name is Jim. I've only been reading Templar for about a month now, but I am absolutely IN LOVE with this entire work.
About myself. I'm a little like Ben. I'm 21, I'm a self-proclaimed writer, I'm on a slew of medications, most of which I stopped taking, and I'm going to be "running away" from my South Carolina home to Kailua, Hawaii.
I absolutely love music, almost to an obsession. Everything from Brittney Spears's "Toxic" to the Arcade Fire to Opera/Techno to Bluegrass.
You know those nightmares where you're running and running but your legs seem to slow down and then you realize that you're sinking into the ground? I have those every night. What's that say about me, Freud?
My Name is JP. Huge fan of your work but never posted before. I am a 20 year-old college senior, about to get my degree in Biology. I am from and currently living in New Mexico. I love books and music. I am currently listening to "Explosions in the Sky" and reading "Kavalier and Clay". Keep up the good work, it is always a good day for me when the comic is updated.
Hey, my name is Hanna and live in massachusetts. Me and my twin sister Sophia both read Templar and think your work is awsome. Seriously.
We're 19 and both attend community college as full time students. My major is art, and I'm a cashier on the weekends.
Heh, not very exciting.
I got directed to this comic a while ago, the art caught me. I haven't been disappointed: Nice stuff. I'm a student/comic store worker. I live in canada, Prince Edward Island to be exact, a cute little conservative sandbar on the east coast.
I'm on Live journal as Artai, not too much happens where i live though, hooray for the internets! *^_^
Okay. Well, I'm a professional designer in California. Also do a bit of writing and photography. My biggest claim to fame is starring in the Paris H. Burger Commercial spoof that was all over about 2 years ago.
Love Templar. The characters are very textured and intriguing and I LOVE your art! Would that I could draw even a 1/4 as well as you!
Umm. Coming out of lurking. A little traumatic. But here goes:
I'm Moose, English, student/musician, wannabe cartoonist, fandom geek, huge webcomic nut (40+ on my bookmarks list at the moment), been reading Templar since about the beginning and absolutely love it.
Reagan is...the best character. Ever. She makes me want to wear fluffy shoes and not care about my gargantuanness. She's wonderful. <3
Also, your art style is fantastic. I love the way you draw expressions, and your character designs. =3
I'm Icesong, mostly lurker, read this for few months now and absolutely love it! Added spike on myspace a while back.. er, I'm a professional rhapsodist with an attention span rivaling most newborn mammals. What else is there to say?
Ai Ya, what an insane number of posts! Wonder if anyone's going to scroll down this far...
I'm Zoe, and I live about as far from Arizona as you can get. I'm an Australian living in Cambridge, England (of the famed & ancient university - its a lot like living in Hogwarts). I'm not a student, though - my fiance is the student, he's doing a doctorate on international law of the sea and spends most of his time thinking about wmds, human trafficking, pirates, and fish.
A word on pirates - they're real, and they are NOT COOL. Machetes, people. Machetes and petrol bombs. Not cool at all.
All apologies to 'fishy' - I go by 'fish' wherever it isn't taken (which is a surprisingly large number of places). I'm a teacher by trade, but I have a profound love of marine biology & especially marine invertebrates (and yes I know fish are vertebrates, but if I logged on as 'glaucus' no one would know what the hell I was on about, or - worse - think I ws referencing plato's republic. Which I'm not.)
The fiance (also a reader) and I are confirmed geeks, though he is more old-school than me (I've never had a DC continuity question that he couldn't answer).
Also, I saw highlander for the first time ever last night. It was AWESOME.
Zoe
Hi, I'm Jade, and I'm not asian. I'm 18 and living with my fiance at MIT. He's the math geek, not me. I love templar, and I selfishly want it to update hourly. I'm a somewhat undecided major at UMass Boston; caught between Art History, Anthropology, and Classical Languages. I work nights at a small convenience store. I do layout & design for a small magazine on my campus... In other words, I'm in a very abusive relationship with Adobe InDesign.
I love the clean lines on templar, and the clip art/weighted brush subtleties.
Ooh, comment number 95 if I'm not very much mistaken! :D
I'm a grad student doing a PhD in radio astronomy, which through a serendipitous conjunction of events, I find myself doing in Japan.
Like every other secret geek Westerner I know here, I have a nice, vague little spiel worked out about having come to Japan for the "culture". In reality, of course, this is a cunning obfuscation designed to conceal the fact that I got into Japanese for the sole purpose of being able to play Japanese console RPGs.
Even now I still get a little shiver of joy every time I walk into a second hand games shop and find myself surrounded by hundreds of vintage SNES games at $10 a go...
... holy crap.
Hello! I'm Liz, and I've been a Templar, AZ addict for a little less than a year now. I am a paralegal/law student who writes too much to be so terrified of publishing and wants to use her eventual law degree and writing prowess to save the world (or conquer it...this changes daily :-)) I play drums and am in posession of the most psychotic cat ever to grace the city of Chicago, and though I don't post here often, I think this is one of the most innovative and incredible webcomics I've ever read. The art is totally unlike most comics online and the actual writing and character development is believable and wonderfully real. Thanks so much for bringing us Templar! It's definitely a highlight of my day when I see there's a new one up!
p.s. in case you can't tell from the close-to-a-hundred posts, your comic makes a LOT of people happy! Thanks again!
Heya I'm David, a late 20's freelance theatre tech living in chicago. I love this comics for it's fantasticalness, how it seems like our world but then is not at all.
I love reading many many things: along the lines of History, Sci Fi, Science, Comics (I'm a little obsessed there), and technology.
I also garden and make fanastic food from the med basin to indian.
Keep doing some amazing work.
My name is Rachel, but a lot of people just call me Rainbow, because of my constant hair coloring. I'm a art student Junior at the University of Hartford CT. i travel a fair bit, and enjoy dressing up in silly outfits on a regular basis. i am only a little addicted to webcomics :P i check sites mulitple times before the next update. i also dabble in sewing.
Hi, I'm Snowpea from Montreal, Canada. I'm in my late 30s and I speak both English and French fluently. I enjoy orchids, books, cats, snowshoeing, webcomics and beading. I tend towards vegeterianism and I may be overeducated. I play board and other society games (think Arkham Horror, Porto Rico, Shadowfist, or Settlers of Catan) with husband and friends. I work as a webmaster at one of the four universities in town. I don't like chocolate anymore (migraines). I love your comic for the artwork, the subtle shading and the sly humour. (Oh yeah, I also make a point of using British-Canadian spelling from sheer orneriness).

I'm 24, married, no kids except two kitties,, and live in Tempe, AZ. I wish Tempe were more like Templar. I like knitting, sewing, and dressing up in frilly dresses. I collect creepy dolls. I take bellydancing classes sometimes. That's about it. :)
I'm Gwen, a 40-something dyke living in the Philly suburbs. I'm on medical leave from my job as a helpdesk consultant for some spinal surgery, so I had some time on my hands. So I found Templar through Something Positive. I stuck around because Reagan is creepily like me, except her hair behaves itself better. On my time off, I am a firearms instructor for gay people. I don't work behind the counter at the gun store, but I could. I've taught somewhere between 60 and 75 people to shoot in the past 5 years, most of them members of the GLBT community. This probably makes the worst nightmare of the more liberal posters here, which makes me grin with maniacal glee.
I'm Otto, a grad student in English literature up in Madison, WI. I actually came to Templar, AZ via a link someone sent me to Playing With Dolls, several months ago. Reading webcomics has become a replacement for the comic books I am now too poor to buy on a regular basis, and I'm ecstatic over finding one of such high quality, both writing- and art-wise. I even put down some of my precious, precious booze money for the paper copy, that's how awesome I find this.
Hey Spike,
I normally just lurk, but since you asked so nicely about your fans, here I am.
I am a computer programmer in my late 20's living in the midwest when I'm not traveling (as often as possible). I found your comic when Tycho at Penny Arcade gave you a reference, and your amazing, unique characters and artwork have kept me coming back ever since.
-Jager
Hi, I'm a 26 year old lady from Oregon who likes this comic. I enjoy the internet, bellydance, music, and food. I work in the exciting world of Insurance.
Thanks for making this post, it's interesting to see who else reads this. I think I may indirectly know a few of the other commenters, which is interesting!
Hi, I'm Matt! I'm a QA Tester at EA in Vancouver BC Canada.
I'm 22 and I have a husband (yup, I'm gay) and two cats.
I have a certificate in web/graphic design (only did a year of collage) and I like video games and hanging out with friends.
I love web comics (I follow about 10 constantly) and I love Templar (though it took a bit for me to get into it),
That is all ^_^
Hey, I'm Mike. I'm the younger brother of DanSTC, a fellow artist and goon you met at Comic Con. (He's changed his name on the SA forums, by the way.)
I've been reading your comics ever since I stumbled across Lucas and Odessa and have been loving them ever since.
Also, I'm going to San Jose State at the moment for a business degree.
I am currently playing the part of Mr.Mom to our 2 kids, 2 cats, 1 dog and a bird, while my wife gets to go out and conquer the world as an artist and teacher. When I'm not pretending to be a mild-mannered parental unit, I'm pretend to a teacher of computer animation at the local University.
Heh... funny that you should put up a note now about expecting everyone to be a college freshman. 'Cause I just so happen to be one - although I'm a year or so older than most of my classmates.
I'm at the University of King's College, a tiny school which is like a time-sink - we're like a Canadian mini-Oxford, and we have a buttload of strange old traditions that are still carried over. I wear academic robes to dinner every once in a while, and drink sherry with the President - it's weird. I love it. That should tell you what kind of person I am... oh boy.
I'm 19, a fairly sedate lesbian, gonna study Linguistics and History of Science and Technology once I get out of Foundation Year (which is basically four literature courses jammed into one, so I hafta read a book a day, pretty much - heh, my favourite kind of masochism). I like big thick books by old dead people, knitting, drinking tea, classical languages, symphonic/goth metal, and German Expressionism.
...the goth metal is kind of out of place, isn't it...
Me? I'm Tapio, a webcomics enthusiast from Finland. Under thirty, for the time being. Sex: male. Occupation: tech support.
I enjoy anything that's bizarre and intellectually challenging (at least for me). My particular interests include linguistics, socio-political phenomena, psychoactive substances and the culture surrounding them, cuisine, technology, science and art. So, my interests are widely distributed but shallow.
Hiya!
My name's Meg (but I go by Emjay for various reasons), and I'm a 22-year old fourth-year sociology student. I play lots of survival-horror type video games and tabletop RPGs, read possibly too much of anything that will hold still, and want to be involved in social work, probably the police service. I have a small white cat named Beatrice and a fiance who is at least as crazy as I am.
. . . I like shiny things, and kinda suck at bios. Hooray!
I'm a short, active, pudgy eclectic who loves food, camping, snowboarding, science fiction, cats, rats, ponies, other peoples' tattoos, marine invertebrates, single malt scotch whisky, animal skulls, old books, and statues of Jimmy Carter. I'm 41, married, and have a 3 year old son (whoops, there goes the demographic). I do arty stuff on occasion, like knitting, beading jewelry, and linoleum block printing. At the moment I am an unemployed biology lab technician. I've also been a web designer, barista, art model, and scuba instructor.
Hey, my name's Melony. I live over in New Mexico and am a college sponge/student for the past 9yrs. Yes I'm going for my fine arts masters and no I don' t know what crack I was smoking at the time to come to this conclusion, but I'm here now. I write/illustrate my own comics as well, hoping to get enough together to hopefully post mine online one of these days.
Hi, I'm Maggie!
I'm 23, and a senior (after two years' leave of absence, I know I'm old :) at Harvard, studying Folklore and Mythology. I'm originally from Virginia, but life in Cambridge suits me fine :) I'm just back from two years living on the Isle of Skye, Scotland (speaking only Gaelic and selling malt whisky for a living), and I keep myself busy these days writing my thesis (in Gaelic) about traditional Gaelic songs associated with the making of tweed. I've also just started to learn Welsh with the help of a couple friends in the Celtic Dept. here, and I'm thinking about grad school in Celtic Studies, Folklore, or possibly Ethnomusicology year after next, after I take a while to work, save up some money, and figure out what in the world I want to do with myself. We'll see.
Annnd, I guess that's what I've got. I've been reading your comic since about the beginning, and absolutely love it. Thanks so much!!
i'm a tech support geek living in sacramento, california.
I'm a college grad with a degree in Music Performance on Classical Gee-tar (I know, I know. Lucrative), and I work for a company that provides music lessons in various instruments, though I'd really rather be performing, and not sitting at a desk all day. My friend got me into comics when I went to visit him at RISD, and I've been heavily addicted ever since.
Your comic is awesome, and I wish you the greatest luck with its continued success!
Cheers,
Jonah
My name is Tristan; I'm a 25 year old male, and I live in Phoenix Arizona. I work nearly full time as webmaster for a radio station, and part time at my cousin’s comic shop. I play keyboards in a band, as well as the banjo and do back up vocals. I drink frequently, and I love cigarettes. I was married for a little over two years, which was probably more a result of excess drinking and dancing then per se love, and the cheating was somewhat out of control.
I read a lot of web comics, I check them pretty much every workday, and I frequently toy with the idea of buying a Templar Reclamation Hoodie.
Thanks for the comic, it's fantastic.
Hey! My name is Paul, and I live in southern Oregon. I work at a call center, go to school for welding, and live in a trailer with my girlfriend. Sounds typically redneck, huh? Well until you get into the fact that I have a BS in Psych, volunteer for a suicide hotline, and actively hit people with sticks as part of the SCA, as well as run a RPG twice a week. Gotta keep busy to keep outta the bars, I guess...
OH and for the record- hate country, am HUGE Jazz fan!
Peace!
Er. Well. My name's Minka and I'm a fourteen year old girl from British Columbia, Canada. Describing my interests in things seems so silly to me right now but I'll give a shot anyways. I'm an indie rock snob and not too proud of it. I "play" (more like shitty attempt) the guitar and sing. I perform in a musical about once or twice a year. I'm working on a comic with my bestfriends. Chey writes them, I doodle the strips and Cordell colours 'em. I help run a roleplay site online. That's my most embarrasing passtime. Despite all the varied hobbies I plan on becoming a fashion designer. I am constantly doodling pretty new outfits but more often than not I get bored of them before I get around to sewing anything. I think that's about all I have to say actually.
A 36-year old motorcycle geek from England who loves the hidden side of America, which denies all knowledge of George Bush or Anheuser-Busch. High school education only, but that doesn't mean I couldn't have if I had wanted to.
24 year old elevator installer from the southeastern us, whoes free tiem consist of onlien gmaing computer modding and planning for and staffing dragoncon.
I'm Matt Elder, a 22-year-old Comp. Sci. Theory grad student at U. Wisconsin. Math and programming occupy much of my time. The rest of my waking hours are divided among playing Go, DDR, and the violin; juggling and cooking.
Oh, and reading a handful of webcomics. Templar, xkcd, Girl Genius, and Achewood are my favorites among these; all are amazing in completely different ways.
I go by Umi online; I'm 27, married, and mom to an almost-nine-year-old genius little girl. I'm originally from Spain but currently live in Phoenix, AZ, I'm an admin assistant at a company that re/builds transmission and torque converters (especially for drag racing), and writing and web design are my hobbies. I'm a huge computer geek and a gamer too. I read mostly gaming- or anime-related webcomics, but Templar was an awesome randomly-discovered gem that originally piqued my curiosity because of the Arizona thing. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. ^_^
I'm a 32 year old protein biochemist living in lovely scenic West Philly. I spend most of my waking time in lab and during incubations and while waiting for cells to grow, I sometimes come here.
I came late to comics - never read them growing up and now I'm slowly finding this whole world out there that I like very much. I find comic book stores somewhat intimidating, so I'm exploring online.
I'm a pacifist, anarchist, anti-nationalist/patriot, philosopher, magician (the kind that spells magic with a "k"), hippie on the inside, synth/industry on the outside, computer nerd, and I'm currently studying to become a teacher. I'm from Sweden, I enjoy roleplaying and figure gaming, and I watch a lot of TV-shows (Lost, My Name is Earl, Heroes etc). I love discussions, and I love all things that confuse (example: Neon Genesis Evangelion and David Lynch films).
Hey, I've only fairly recently come to Templar Arizona and I've not been reading the blog stuff until now, sorry!
My name's Fay, I'm a very-nearly-32-year-old ex-teacher from the UK. WHat else do you want to know?!
Oh wow, I'm way late to the party.
My name's Wombat (Yes, really. Yes, that is weird. No, no reason). I'm a 22-year-old sushi chef from Arizona who now lives in Seattle. I'm Ben in reverse! Neb, I guess.
Hi. I'm a family practioner in a small West Texas community. Liberal arts major (Plan II) at UT Austin. 55 years old with one granddaughter. Interests are wood carving (primarily mesquite) writing (primarily dreck) and studying Spanish. In my copious spare time I enjoy webcartoons.
Hi! My name is Meg, I live in Bugfuck, New Mexico, and I'm a (hack) artist and a high school student. I came here a while back through a link from another comic (I honestly can't remember which, though) and I've been hooked ever since. I'm studying Japanese on my own time and taking classes at the local community college on Computer Animation.
That's it for me. :)
Hello, my name is Ethan. I'm a highschool senior, and creator of the webcomic "Fabulous Peoples Society". I started reading your comic from a link from DrMcninja.
I am 26 years old, live in Minneapolis, and am a veritable giant of a man. No serieoulsy, I'm really pretty tall. People tell me that all the time, even people who have known me for several years. I'm like 6'5" and 250lbs. See? Giant! It's my Scandinavian heritage, I suppose. Descended from the vikings, donchaknow.
Anyway, I'm currently finishing my senior thesis at the U of Minnesota in International Political Economy. I work at a photo developing lab, mostly for money, but it's nice to see cool pictures. I am passionate about public policy. I am a huge webcomics geek, gaming geek, tabletop RPG geek, art geek, food geek, beer geek, and politics wonk. I am very good at crossword puzzles and trivia. I'm getting over my shyness, and can strike people as pretty outgoing, but I am an introvert at heart. I am an INTP. (which means I still have trouble talking to girls, unless I'm pretty darn sure there's no chance of hanky-panky. Then I can chat away. Like I said, I'm getting over the shyness thing.) I was a Lance Corporal in the Marines. I speak Arabic, Spanish, some French, and less Russian.
I love the comic, the feel of this strange world (both in Templar, AZ, and in RL), and I can't wait to see where it goes (again, in both.)
-Joel
p.s. Oh yeah, I also have a moustache.
Yellow.
I'm Adriana. 23, a latin mother humping JEW. I'm reading from Texas, where I work for a giant ass military bank/insurance company.
I'm wanting to know more about these Copy Books.
Maybe wanna write one myself.
Haha.
LOVE YOUR EFFING COMIC.
Your art is fantastic, varied, so skilled.
And the sincerests?
Egad, woman. Egad.
Love and whatnot,
Adriana
I'm that random girl in the back of the class whose name peope always butcher. I'm a junior in high school and I love to draw and write (I wanna do comics someday *grin*) and hug random people. I saw a Templar ad on another site and followed it because the art looked so unique. Yayyy.
I started reading (and lurking) recently, but this is my first post. Yay for webcomics that one shouldn't show to one's parents.
I started reading (and lurking) recently, but this is my first post. Yay for webcomics that one shouldn't show to one's parents.
Hey there. I'm a Dalhouse University student in the Maritimes (Canada). I'm graduating in 4 months, and moving to Nepal. I like your comic, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up when I move.
Good work.
I realize your "social" mood has probably worn off by now, and you've already responded to this post, but... hi. ::waves::
Three things about me:
1. I play trombone pretty decently ('cos I was a music major [chemistry minor]; I got my bachelors last May).
2. I sleep in my jeans.
3. I've been reading your comic since... I don't remember the exact date, but it was before Reagan forced Ben onto the streets of Templar. And it's the only webcomic I still regularly check, which is a little sad since I used to be a webcomics freak, but means you're JUST THAT AWESOME.
...back to lurking k bye.
Hi I'm Dan,
Im 27 from the UK and love this comic to bits. I'm a librarian (snore, I know), and am attempting to write (see my site by clicking my name- it's a little weird and foul mouthed- you'll like it. Oh, and donate - I'm trying to save up for a Templar book). I mostly lurk, but thought I should post here to say how talented and funny Spike is. :-)
Ooh. I like self-absorbed posts. Okay, I'm Dryope. I'm a waitress intending to go back to school for linguistics. We'll see how that works out. 23, married, three cats. Musically I prefer ska and most indie rock but I'll listen to almost anything (even country). I collect manga (mostly shoujo and mostly in Japanese because yes I'm that much of a snob). I'm a webcomics junkie and came here from Questionable Content. I sing alto in choir at church. I always have a book to read, usually fantasy, history, or something considered "classic". I dislike math but love all things cute and/or girly (and also weird and morbid. Anything that's cute AND morbid wins bonus points for serious awesome) Another of the fiscally conservative/socially liberal-types (I saw someone earlier who said this. Yay, I'm not alone.) I guess I'm your everynerd only with kitten heels and lots of pink.
I somehow missed this post the last few days. I am saddened.
So yea. I'm Jeff, a 20 year old college student in Portland OR. I'm mostly in the process of filling my head with as much math/natural science/economics/minimalist philosophy/as much headheavy stuff as I can get my hands on, and am postponing the question of what to do with it all until after graduation, if then. I played WoW for about a year, and my only serious relationship was a one-year polyamorous mostly-long-distance fling with someone eight years older I met thataway.
I am also bizarrely infatuated with your webcomic.
Righty-o. My name is Lydia, and I think you're pretty much a creative genius. Um... me... right. I do a lot of origami, especially modular origami, and make up stories in my head but never get around to putting them on paper in picture or linguistic form. I'm a theoretical physics nerd. I'm a scary vegan who doesn't like PETA (omfg paradox -universplosion!!!1-) and I cook a lot. My current "art project" is to collect souvenirs smaller than a quarter and hot-glue them onto a pair of flip-flops. I also like to buy botched glass beads, wholesale, by the pound, and make jewelry out of them. Aaaand that's about it; other than that I am mind-numbingly dull. I live in NJ, USA, and I really like Templar, AZ.
Oh and by the way I'm 13. (OH NOES A MINOR. Why yes, thank you, I do appreciate being labeled as pretentious, emotional and angsty!)
Mmmmyeah the end. Let the lurking resume.
I'm Nate, and I am Late to this party. Waay late.
Been reading Spike for some odd half a decade or so by now. Very much a fan.
As for my lil' life, I'm a 24 going on 25 guy in MD. I live with my parents and work in a grocery store, despite my intensive and continuing post college education in art and Arabic. I'm a Deist, and plan to be a life long sexual celibate (voluntary, I swear). Excited yet?
I also love to draw cartoons. Yeah...I'm one of THOSE people. Animating cartoons, and working out, and listening to experimental new wave music. Never been successful at pretty much anything in life, but I'm still dumb enough to keep banging my head against the wall.
Here's to all the laughs and (hopfully not too many) headaches! :D
