A lifetime and a half ago, I had a comic on the Modern Tales site Girlamatic. It was called Lucas & Odessa. It was about a failed-at-sixteen dancer and a chain-smoking middle-aged vagrant, and it was never finished. Strangely enough, though, people still ask me about it. Who knows why.
In case you're curious, I've uploaded 13 pages, the first scene, to my ComicSpace here. More pages are forthcoming.
Consider yerself warned about the quality. Four-year-old pages, here.
Woo hoo! :D
I was googling for this for hours back when I first discovered Templar.
I just wanted to say, I'm hooked on this comic. The whole thing with the Cook family and finally finding out what they're all about really has me on edge... which I can't say about 90% of the other comics I read. Great writing and art.
Thank god I gave this comic asecond chance for the arts sake and not because I didn't understand the story it's fucking fanastic.
Here's hoping there's stairs in the next panel.
It's good to see L&O again ! I kinda missed them...
YES
I missed them too.
I love it. I hate waiting.
I'd not read Lucas an Odessa before this reposting, but I can see why people like it! They characters both have a strong and fun personality, and work well with eachother. I can't wait to see more.
nice. what's so bad about it? gonna finish it?
C:)
Aww, Lucas & Odessa - that's the comic that got me hooked on your work to begin with. I see echoes of their personalities in Templar - and I do have to say I like Templar better ;)
Odessa reminds me of my foster sister before she came to live with my family, when we used to hang out together at the youth drop in center. She was such an angsty thing, with her boyfriend she called "Petrarch" and deep, pseudo-communist idealist philosophies.
i was a L&O fan (girlamatic subscriber from day one) and was brought to T,A because of it. glad to hear you'll continue with it but i hope it's not at the expense of T,A.
I love that Odette comic! Templar is amazing too. Now I'm waiting for another L&O-- oh wait. Heh. Are you going to make more L&O? ^_^;
Joy!
Templar is a masterpiece, but I really like L&O too! I'm glad we get to see where you wanted to go with it now
