The final, super-final, totally, completely, no-take-backs PDF of print-ready Templar was uploaded to Lebonfon's FTP at about 4:00 AM this morning. Josie, my current contact at the printer, got an email telling her so shortly thereafter.
And now, nothing left to do with the printer except wait for the books.

Yeah, so, this week will probably be taken up with preparing for the flood of commissions and sketches I have to do. That, and re-doing ironcircus.com, business stuff, stocking up on envelopes and mailing labels, and the like.
So, y'know, it's not really OVER. It's just beginning.
It's no accident that I got my Deviant Art account recently; if I especially like how a commission or sketch comes out, it'll go there (with the permission of the commissioner, of course). It'll be a nice, easy way to pad the gallery.

I like the Great Gildersleeve and Fibber McGee and Molly, but I also grew up listening to them.
Really Bad OTR includes "Cinnamon Bear" or whatever the hell it's called. It's boring as SHIT and they play it every damn Christmas. UGH.

Oh great. Now I gotta whole bunch of radio shows to sift. I have enough trouble keeping up with the NPR podcasts I want to listen to.
My grandfather was once featured in a Ripley's Believe it or Not cartoon. He was the outrider at the Kentucky Derby for decades. He was the original guy-in-the-red-jacket-and knee-high-black-boots-and-black cap-who-looks-like an English-Fox-Hunting-guy. He's depicted on the label of some cheap bourbon.
I've never been to the Derby.
You would really love The Saint. I said that a long time ago but I'll gladly say it again. LOVE it. It's on OTR.net and the movie is nothing like it.
X-minus-1 rocks XD my favourite was Knock. Totally cool.
Oh and the Mysterious Traveler!! I listened to that one on the train sometimes and the irony is awesome. Too bad there's not more episodes.
i also dig X Minus 1. It has off moments, esp listening to it through a modern filter, but the vocal acting is usually real good.

Hey, I'll stand up for YTJD. The later episodes were awful, I'll admit, but the first five seasons or so with Edmund O'Brien are maybe the best thing that was ever sent out over the airwaves.
With the possible exception of Pat Novak, for Hire. Jack Webb's in that one, sounding as weary as a Las Vegas stripper after convention week, tossing out every ridiculous, shop-worn cliche that a battery of pulp hacks could dream up. It's so damn good, it's ridiculous.
