New page, new vote sketches.
Why are they even friends? Seriously.
Although now that I think about it, I don't really think they are. They go to the same clubs and shows, shop at the same stores, and like the same things, but they're not really friends. They just go places together a lot and talk to one another regularly. Which isn't the same thing.
Curio and Tuesday are kinda permanently stuck as teenagers when it comes to relationships with people of the same sex as themselves. They'll turn on one another in a second. The most they get out of hanging out together is a target for zingers. Lovely people.
Also, Bo hasn't shown up yet, but that doesn't mean he can't have a little character development, am I right?
While you're reading: Jane Irwin, creator of Vogelein, interviewed me a while back for her "Comics are Open Source" series of articles for Comicon.com. My supposed area of expertise: Webcomics, and effectively whoring your way to higher pageviews. You can find the interview here. And in case you're nosy, I mention how much Templar's put in the bank, and how I earned it. The numbers are a little old now, but you should get the basic idea.
Back to work...
Ra...sunny...egyptian god...that's pretty neat!
And thutmose sounds egyptian too...Nile...is Nile?
I shoudl not try to figure this out after spending the night pulling staples out of a wooden floor but here I am.
Though...I think talking to sunny at /all/ makes him want to sock you...so...
Curio and Tuesday kinda make me think of a younger and older sister, respectively.
And thanks for the interview link! It was actually rather enlightening to see the process from the inside.
I love those opening panels with Curio. "I'm near cool people! Eee!"
If it came to a choice between Curio and Tuesday, I'd have to say that I like Curio better.
She's a complete and utter flake... but she's got a sense of empathy to her that I'm not feeling with Tuesday.
Curio is a complete and utter fangirl, but she is genuinely nice, or at least that's the feeling I'm getting off her what with the easy and sincere apology she just gave. There was also the way she objected to how Tuesday referred to the 'low' people. I'm not entirely Tuesday understood the distinction between the way she meant 'low people' and the way they refer to themselves. It says something for Curio that she was able to pick up on it.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that Curio is able pick up on that while it doesn't even register on Tuesday's radar.

That's why I can't help but like her.
Me, too. I definitely like Curio a lot better now since her first appearance. I mean, she can't help who she is, and if she wants to be someone else... well, I doubt there's anyone in the world who hasn't felt that way at least once in his or her life. And if Curio lacks the strength to accept herself ... that's more a reason to feel bad for her, then to hate her.
Tuesday doesn't strike me as particularly comfortable in her own skin, either, but in a more aggressive way, you know? ... Or maybe she's totally comfortable. I dunno, she's been in like, three pages so far.
Reagan is still fifty million times better than both of them.
Curio's the archetypal wannabe, the one who hovers around any scene whose members will tolerate her, or at least not violently reject her. We all know the type.
Tuesday's in the 'tolerant' camp, since a) she needs the attention too; and b) Curio will evidently endure any kind of abuse, as long as it's from someone more popular than her. So, basically, yeah: they're a couple of overgrown teenagers who detest each other but can't function without each other.
Spinsters in training? YOU DECIDE.
Hey, I was just wondering: When you publish the graphic novels, will there be an appendix with explanations of the various factions and overall wierdness going on in Templar?
Yes please!
I like how she takes three panels to come up with the idea that Sunny and Mose should be on Tuesday's show. First panel thoughts: Sunny and Mose are awesome Nile folk, in an awesome band, and are cousins on top of it. Second panel thoughts: Tuesday has a popular show where she talks to cool people, people who are up and comming in the scene. Panel 3 thoughts: refer to Curio's outburst.
I think Curio is actually the less likeable character. I don't care how attention-whorish Tuesday is, she still knows what she is doing and that she wants it. She doesn't lie or bend the truth, she's just living her life.
Curio, on the other hand, claims to have been hanging out with these guys forever and trys so very hard to be part of the scene...yet she gets shot down over the band leader's name. Shop talk, eh? Someone comes off as a desperate idiot. I don't feel bad for her, and I don't buy her apology. She just got caught looking like a jerk in front of everyone she is trying to impress, she's trying to cover her tracks.
I absolutely love the comic, by the way :]
OK, Mose is my new favorite person.
Oh man, Mose just cracked me up today. I can't believe he went all out like that.
I guess I'd try to get under a porn star's skin too though, just to see if I could. I mean, if you can't tease 'em about dancin' around nekkid, what can you tease 'em about, right?
Hehe, I *LOVE* Curio's expression of horror after Tuesday's comment on the last page.
Oh, and every further strip where I get to see Mose & Sunny makes me happy. They are awesome.
Curio, I think, is the kind of person I'd like to slap upside the face until she comes to something vaguely related to sense.
Also, dick like a beer can? damn.
read my comic, plz?
