Templar: Tuesday likes a man that can make her laugh.

Especially if he can discredit the object of derision's validity as a critic at the same time.

Better scenery chewer: Reagan or Sunny? PHONE LINES ARE OPEN. But I'm pretty sure this kinda comparison always ends in a steel cage match on Pay-Per-View.

New page, new vote sketches. Have a nice weekend, everybody.

Sunny is dangerously close to usurping Reagan as my favorite dialog character. And I'm pretty sure he'd hate that. And that just makes me like him all the more.

This is coming from a fan of Transmetropolitan, and if you've read that book, you'll know what a huge compliment that is :)

I kinda have to go with Reagan on this one. Sunny's a CLOSE second. We're talking neck to neck here, but the vitriol thing only takes you so far.

That said, I LOVE both characters. They're so delightfully over the top!

Now, my question is: is the rating system they're talking about a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the topor a 10 being the top. In other words: who has the better ratings? 'Borndown' or 'Mondays with Tuesday'.

(Also suspect that Tusedays rating had as much to do with naked dancing... sorry "Freeform Naturalist Eurymthics" as it did any possibly good press she could give him.)

Huh. I would have sworn that 'kkhk' noise when Curio made her grand entrance would have been Sunny biting his sucker into bits. I guess it was just his teeth...ouch. Which is not to say one hasn't had that reaction to certain people before, oneself.

Rachael, Sunny already said 9 was bad. 1 = ideal, 10 = regurgitated pig feces.

I kind of like Sunny. Angry, bitter, Arabic, short men are just more funny than loud, obnoxious, overweight, white women. Mostly because the latter is all too familiar to people in the Midwest.

I guess Sunny just seems more original, to me. Reagan's always reminded me of Rosanne. But with the ability to waggle dildos in short Asian men's faces. hehehe

I'm guessing Sunny's really a very honest person (former sincerest?), where Reagan's just lewd and doesn't really care about it any more. They're so polarized, really. Sunny gets angry over innocence lost, where Reagan is so apathetic about it, she can revel in it.

'S how I interpret the two, anyway.

I honestly think a Reagan/Sunny showdown would ultimately be determined by whoever has the longer attention span, and data is so far inconclusive on this point.

I can't get over how much Templar there is recently. It's like a beautiful dream except I still really need to clean my shower.

That's a thing of Mametesque beauty. Sunny's my new hero.

Sure, Sunny says a 9 is bad, but I just assumed he was viewing the world through Sunny-vision.

Whoever wins this contest should have to make out with the loser. Only then could we have true awesome. *gigglesnort*

Yikes...Suuunnnyyyy... But gawd it was hard to type that.

I think David's right - Sunny comes across as being a bit of a perfectionist, considering he has to run a band whose members are a naturally blissed-out dude, an Egyptian Buddha, and a dude who "skips practice to go get AIDS." A nine-point-anything for him is just mediocre for him. So for most folks, a nine-point-two is a good score. Sunny also probably resents even being reviewed by this Collision guy in the first place, considering how little he likes the guy.

yeah, I reread it. David's right, I think. I gotta quit reading Templar at three in the morning. I'm dense as granite at that hour.

Sunny is a wired up little guy, isn't he?

I'm still amused by Curio. Anyone whose mere arrival can render Sunny speechless for however long... well, I take that back. He made a sort of harsh gurgle like he was inhaling his sucker. That's sort of like speech.

(Also, Nate: totally with you on the 3 am thing. Same hour I was reading it. It's too hot to sleep where I am, hence the confusion.)

Never mind popularity contest.
Reagan / Sunny cage match: who would win?

I took it as sunny thinks the mag is garbage, and so thought the review was meaningless, not unfavorable.

I thought Reagan was pretty out-there but Sunny clearly goes beyond... I have friends who rant, talk about what they dislike, famous and non-famous people who annoy them. But all my close friends who do that, they do it with a smile on there face, usually.

Sunny is just intense.

My favorite character is still Scipio; he's the character I can relate to the most. ... was that the correct use of a semi-colon?

Good enough - I don't think the grammar police will come to take you away.

Really, all the characters are amazing. I can't think of a single one that I'm not interested in.

Sunny. Because Reagan is smiling or at least smirking most of the time, and I'm still trying to figure out if Sunny has a wonky eyeball or _just_that_much_intensity_.

Reagan just has this PRESENCE, though. Her physicality is overwhelming in several ways - Sunny is a pair of burning eyeballs. He's got variations on a single theme - so far we've seen Reagan in more roles. Sunny seems fairly constantly irate - funny, but invariable.

I gotta go with Reagan. She is so awesome I can't believe it. I think it's just because I tend to like characters who are more ... aggressively happy, rather than angry.

I think she and Sunny should get together though.

I have so far figured Reagan for being at least partly hispanic, Nate, although she might be mixed enough that it's only a little bit. Couldn't tell you why, although the cross she wears does help the impression.

I'm gonna have to go with Sunny in this case just because of how he took a shining to Ben. That made me smile for quite a while.

For straight-up scenery-chewing, I've gotta go with Sunny. Reagan makes up the difference with complete shamelessness and an amazing gift for turning anything Wrong.

When people say, "OMG, I can't believe she went there!"... I think There is where Reagan *lives*.

If she doesn't live There, then she at least owns a sizeable timeshare.

I vote for Reagan. Though I wouldn't mind having a beer with Sunny. Just not one of those sludgy ancient Egyptian-type beers, ugh.

My vote's for Reagan, if only because we've seen the most of her. So far, it's just this one scen
e with Sunny, and I want to see him in other environments before he can take over as my favourite.
