Templar: Back on track.

Sort of. New page, and new vote sketches.

The vote sketches are part of what utterly consumed me last week, some Comic Con fallout for a proposal.

Some of you, especially if you know what a "Girlamatic" is, might get a little excited. Don't get excited. Nothing's happening yet. If something happens, you'll know. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just dig on the sketches. You're not missing anything.

Gotta go!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH !

If you really didn't want us to get excited, you wouldn't have posted those sketches, now would you ? (and by "us", I mean those who discovered you when you were serializing L&O on Girlamatic)

Beyond the general leg-humping squeefest that is your artwork, I love that you gave Ashley the typical 'nerd shirt,' with a wolf on.

I know many people who are ethical in a basic, cro magnon sense. It works out ok for them.

I only got a little bit excited. :)

I, too, am one of those who discovered you through "a Girlamatic".

Good meeting you at Comic-Con (this is Mike, Dan's brother). Can't wait to hear more about the new proposal...!

Wow. Sensitive kilt-boy is so hung up on ethics and compassion that he can't see what a hypocritical snob he is.

What an asshole.

Hypocritical snob? Asshole? Did I miss something?

I remember when I was first reading L+O, and I was really identifying with Odessa. And then I got to the part where she describes Ashley's interests as "college, David Bowie, and her cat's AIDs".

Which described my interests at age 16 to a T.

I EVEN HAD A CAT WITH AIDS.

The vampire books just hit the nail on the head. (I WAS SIXTEEN. IT'S A PHASE.)

Thank God she's a sympathetic character.

Huzzah for a most amusing update! Where are you going to be at Wizard World? Let us know so we can stop by your booth!

pdens, I think it's more that he's praising Moz and Sunny for doing the bare minimum of what they *should* be doing anyway. Gene may or may not notice his name on the cd but he sure as heck deserves his share of the credit and royalites for the work he's done. He's talking about Gene like he's a clever animal that learned to walk on his hind legs.

Wow, I totally didn't read Scip that way at all. I think this comic is just more evidence of him being a super-nice guy- he's even trying to find something nice to say about Moze and Sunny.

I also didn't read his comments as being denigrating to Gene...just honest. Obviously, Scip wants Gene to get his share of the band's credit and royalties. But he knows that Moze and Sunny could get away with not giving him any, because Gene wouldn't notice/care.

The way you say things says as much about who you are as what you're saying. It's a nice message the way you put it, but the way Scip is putting it is condescending and borderline hateful - not in some kind of "discrimination against whatever Gene is" way, but a "leaves a thin patina of ugly over all who hear it" kind of way.
