Templar: I'm shocked nobody guessed!

For reals, you guys are always stealing my thunder and ruining my surprises and whatnot.

This chapter of Templar should be over in three or so pages. Yup. That close. So hang in there, I'm almost through.

Anyway: New vote sketches (more book sketches), new page, and a NEW RECOMMENDATION!

It's barely started, but I am already into Magnolia Pearl's The Good Crook. So yeah, you should check it out. And bookmark it. Maybe subscribe to the feed.

Gotta go.

Guessed what? That Ben had mislaid the keys?

Elijah B Bash?

The Good Crook just pulls you right in story-wise. And the art is gorgeous to study. Nice to see a new comic with this kind of depth.

OH MY GOD YOU JUST GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK.

I'm not sure how to thank you here without sounding completely fangirly and over-the-top, but I think you probably get the idea. WAUGH YAY OMG.

Also: I love Scipio more and more with each page in this scene. Even if he does have a vanishing mustache.

Also: Thank you, Cailin. I feel wierd responding like this on someone else's blog but I also felt wierd about ignoring such a great comment right after posting.

I had noticed the keys, but I thought it was okay to leave them there...

So gene kept the credit card too ? I would have thought he'd only take the cash. Taking the credit card is a good way to get caught. Or does he only use it to open doors (better do it with somebody else's card than with your own, in case you break it).

Maybe he just uses it once and then throws it out. :P

Also: Spike prolly means the heart with the I. We were supposed to guess what that meant?

Maybe it's his wife in the box or something.

Oh god, I wonder what else Gene swiped.

I did notice the keys - I figured since you bothered to draw them they might be important; at first I thought they were Ben's but I figured if they were Dr Bash's, then eh, he'll find them. Besides, Ben's planning to check on him tomorrow anyway.

Gene, for pete's sake already.

Man, sleeping with your keys in your pocket is uncomfortable anyways. And it's probably better if you can't leave your apartment until you're sober enough to find your keys.

Gene just keeps getting awesomer, too.

Nice, very nice! Where are the new recommendations?

I b'leeve that would be The Good Crook, mentioned at the bottom of her post.

It has started off interesting; a good deal of characterization in just a handful of strips and without a mass of dialogue to boot.

Spike? If this chapter is almost over, I've got a question. Do we get another intermission after this?
