Short Film by Mark Ryden and Marion Peck. yeah, that Mark Ryden.
Not... really sure what that was. It's not what I'm used to from Ryden, to say the very least. But I watched it like five times, so I guess I probably like it.

Fucking. Creepy.
That was just fucked up.
Twisted!
"The aim must always be clarity. It's tempting to feel that if a passage of writing is obscure, it must be very deep. But if the water is murky, the bottom might be only an inch below the surface - you just can't tell"
That video is murky rather than deep. I doubt there's anything interesting at the bottom either.
In layman's terms: what a crock of shit.
that was disturbing. and hopefully not meant to be anyhting else but. i HATE dolls.
Am I the only one that liked it? I LOVED it. (But I love Mark Ryden and anything cheerfully surreal.)
Thank you for the link!
Creepy good. I think the "consequence" bit was a bit...unneeded? But other than that, it was cool. Creepy dolls, creepy song, creepy little video.
And that's what I get for not checking out the artist before I watch the video. I take it back, that's the only way it could end. And it's still creepy good. Thanks for adding another artist to my list, Spike!
Holy crap. That video is bloody *scary*!
Conor, I think you're looking too hard. Obscure? It's a piece of silliness that someone put together because they found it amusing. It's a little confusing that the words of the song don't really match up with the narrative, but it's a nonsense verse anyway. I find at times that things can be a lot more enjoyable if you don't insist they should make sense.
As for the video itself... I can't say I really enjoyed it, as it went straight through the artificial plastic side of contrived cute that becomes really f*ing creepy really fast, but I think that was the artist's intention anyway. So cute it makes you puke. It's the sort of thing that I might like on some days, despise on others, depending on my mood.
i get creeped out everytime i watch that, like it's licking my face and taking another bite out of my soul, but i keep on showing it to people i know, then the song gets stuck in my head and i have to watch it again. it's kind of a problem.
