EJ prepares to make a mistake. Pop that corn and get those law chairs ready.

It's been a while since my last blog update, but I've been pretty busy. I also have a bunch of news for you guys.

Not only are the formerly pre-order only Phineas Rage shirts finally available, they're ON SALE, along with everything else I sell. Buy your friends awesome junk from me for their non-specific December celebration of consumerism, or maybe just get something for yourself.

More comics soon...

now, I know EJ's gonna get laid out or something, but once, just ONCE I would like to see a realistic outcome in a webcomic to this kind of situation. And having a mom for a social worker, let me tell you that the most common result to domestic disputes I hear about doesn't involve the guy being harmed.

1. On "common results" That would be based mainly off of reported incidents, wouldn't it?
2. When I think of laid out, I think of people beaten up with blunt objects. Jakes are notorious for carrying knives.
3. Jakes are also notorious for bringing sheer numbers. We know of two, minimum, that are right outside.

I like the idea that Jackie is an enforcer with crazy martial arts training or something. EJ will reach for her, or punch, and she'll break his arm.

Buahahah.

I just have to say that the dialouge is fantastic! It's got that realism you just can't find in most comics. I say that because I read it... I had no idea what was going on in the conversation and then EJ at the end was louder than both yelling profane things.

If that's not real, I dunno what is!

I'd be fine with EJ assaulting her and then getting stomped/shot by said two jakes outside. I'd also be cool with him assaulting her and getting cut/stabbed. What I wouldn't be pleased with is the idea of her just easily physically kicking his ass by herself, which is what I'm expecting.

I just get sick of how pretty much every significant female character in a webcomic can magically outfight guys, whereas in RL, very few women would even be willing to engage in a physical altercation with a man, much less win. I mean, of the hundreds (thousands? not like im counting) of women I've known in my life, I can count on one hand the ones I've met who were actually willing and able to kick a guy's ass. I remember those few because they were interesting, but also VERY RARE.

I think it's safe to say that most Jake women probably aren't like your everyday gal. I mean, Gene's mom basically went through a home birth all alone -- yeah, it's stupid, but it's also way more hardcore than I could ever be, even if I was trying to prove a point.

. . . but don't tell my husband that. It's important that he still thinks I'm a bad-ass.

Actually, I'm half-expecting either Bigelow to just haul off and belt EJ, which would probably hurt him more than getting a beatdown by someone else, or for EJ's behavior to make it worse for Bigelow himself. Jackie's scary like that, because she sort of has that "NOW see what you gone an' made me do" way about her.

hmmm. yeah, all the jakes do seem a bit (a lot) off their rocker, and there's no underestimating the danger of a crazy person. Templar does have a way of defying stereotypes anyways, so maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'm sure there's gonna be a trainwreck either way though.

Baaad baaad things.

don't hurt Ej D:
He's fucking adorable, he is. I love how easy it is to get a grip on your characters from just a few lines of dialogue - except those few who are frustratingly hard to pin down, but I'm assuming those are intentionally like that.

Much as I pity poor EJ, he DID just hit a broad. And appears to have propelled her down the stairs, of which I do not think Marcus and Apollo (nor the small Jake-army in tow) are going to approve just one little bit.

I fear the Elliotts have maybe one more strip to live.

What's with people getting indignant over hypothetical end results up in this piece?

Anyhow. Spike, this just screams Ben at me: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/s/shinedown/second_chance.html

Rogue, it's cause the actual results are always so bomb, we have to fret about something.

Good for EJ smackin' her like the psycho he is. And good for the horrible beating he's about to get. I wonder if he'll die?

Da-yam! He threatened to rape her, he smacked her, and then he pushed her down the stairs!

I'm torn between being feeling happy Jackie got taken down, and feeling that EJ will deserve to be taught a lesson for attacking a woman (even a creepy freak like Jackie).

Yikes... EJ's a bit dense to completely ignore the sheer terror on Bigelow's face right now. D: Jackie herself seems relatively harmless (physically speaking), but never, never mess with cult members. Particularly those of the gypsy-like persuasion. They will mess you up, en masse.

Prediction: Bigelow grabs EJ and knocks him clear across the head for his stupidity, then makes a beeline for the back exit after calling 5-0. EJ is subsequently murdered by a Jake swarm and Marcus and Apollo are arrested. Scip, now panicking after he hears the news, begs Reagan and Gene to find a safe place for Zora. Fearing Gene's mom might try to have them run off with her, Scip kidnaps Zora for her own safety.

.....just what I think.

Really? That's awfully decisive for Scipio. Don't get me wrong; I love the guy to death. But he kind of tends to dither in a crisis.

I refuse to make any more predictions about this storyline. I have been COMPLETELY wrong about everything so far.

I predict that in the future, Spike will introduce a new character. This character will be male or female, and have letters in his or her name.

Spooky, huh?

Now that you've predicted that, the next person's name will be a heiroglyph. Like the artist formerly known as prince. Sort of thing.

S/he might have letters in his/her nickname.

If you're LUCKY.

He just keeps making it worse. Poor EJ has no idea what's he's doing ;-;
This stupid tension is murder. Time to go crawl through the archives again, like thingy said.

....

EJ is gonna end up hamburger, isn't he?
