TEENAGE MUTHA! MEANS NINE MUNTZ-A TRUBBLE!
Thanks to a documentary Matt and I rented ages ago called "The Secret History of American Cinema," I'm pretty sure I know what's going on, here.
This is a preview for a titilating, softcore-style film that would have been shown at "roadshows," or traveling mini-filmfests in the 60s that blew into town, played a few nights at the local movie house or drive-in, and then packed up and peeled out before the authorities caught wind. The movies were sometimes called "whitecoats" on account many were introduced as educational or cautionary tales, and narrated by men posing as doctors in traditional white lab coats to give the movie an air of legitimacy. The most popular whitecoat of all time, according to the documentary, was an uncensored close-up childbirth film. Ee-yipes.
Anyway, I imagine the deal here woulda been about 20 minutes of Little Miss I-Know-What-Boys-Like skanking it up, her subsequent public rape (Hey, she's a tease! She had it coming!) and then the promised "nine muntz-a trubble." All couched as a learning experience for the audience. Because Lord KNOWS I can't learn a THING without long, lingering shots of "15-year-olds" (LOL) in their panties. |

My favorite part of that movie is when the actress is voice-overing about how she knows how to please a man, while she's licking a chicken leg and chewing with her mouth open. Wow, is that sexy!
I kind of want to see this. _________________ Home Page

Wow.
"This isn't the Triforce of Wisdom. But it's something."
I have to say, I do like Ganon's randomly changing shirt, and the fact that the Triforce of Wisdom has glasses, a pipe, and is reading a book. _________________ Avatar artwork by Robert DeJesus. |

Oh, holy Christ, what the fuck. I love these goddamned things. Interesting that Gannon was actually well modeled and animated.
So do you know if this segmenet was created recently? Or, more to the point, created after the guy who was the butt of this whole joke caught on? I'm guessing based on the fact that his character only showed up to talk in a synthesized voice and get shot through the chest, and there was all that conspicuous script-mistreatment.
I wonder what the hell else these guys are doing. And where the hell did that audio clip at the end come from? _________________ the dreams ain't broken down here, nah, they're walkin with a limp |

Mostly historical cartoon about George Washington! Features interesting facts about his genitalia and drug use. CHECK IT OUT.
It has a catchy theme song. _________________ Home Page

| More Nekojiru cartoons! Episode 16-18. Only the first two are seriously funny, I think, but it's all still worth watching. |

Don't worry... The Beatles end up co-opting enough Indian music later on to make up for whatever the hell that is. _________________ Towards thee I roll, thou all-destroying but unconquering whale; to the last I grapple with thee; from hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee. Hahaha... I actually know one of the guys in the video (he's at about 43 seconds into the video in a suit drinking some booze out of a paper bag.) I used to work with him. He was the lead singer of a local band "Vic Vacuum And The Attachments."
I am somewhat familiar with the backstory behind this... If I'm not mistaken, I think Dirk might have some insight on this as well.
This video was created for part of a game for the 3DO that was never released by a studio called Run And Gun. Run and Gun developed a surfing game called "Wild Ride" for the PC, and then they made another surfing game for Gameboy Color called "Wicked Surfing." After that they changed their name to Cave Barn Studios (the company was apparently housed in a space that resembled a combination of a cave and a barn) and made an utterly bizzare game called "Urban Yeti" for the Gameboy Advance. As far as I know the company doesn't exist anymore.
I briefly flirted with the idea of applying at this company, but decided that I would not like working in an environment where everyone is hepped up on goofballs 24/7. _________________ Towards thee I roll, thou all-destroying but unconquering whale; to the last I grapple with thee; from hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee. Oh, man! DUELIN' FIREMEN!
I used to work with these guys. Even did some Gameboy work with them.
They still had Runandgun back when I knew them. This was going to be an interactive game, but it never got beyond the promo video stage. The whole concept was that Chicago was on fire again, and it was so big that there was nothing left for the firemen to do but wait it out-- AND HAVE A DANCE CONTEST! Yes, pot was involved, I think.
Goofy, goofy individuals. Very fun, though. They had their studio in this two-floor flat in Logan Square with a HUGE attic that they called the 'Cavebarn', where their sound guy had his setup. They also had a small half-pipe for skateboarding, a drum set, video editing table, and other wackiness. Had a fun Halloween bash there back in '98 (god, do I sound like a fogey, or what?)
Yes, they were pretty much hepped up on goofballs, most of the time. Strangely enough, I got to know them when I worked at Arthur Andersen. -- we all worked in the 'online broadcast' part together. They were actually my first real client when I started freelancing in '99.
Crazy.

Stolen from SA: Five minutes of homosexual Super Dollfie rape, done with still photos spliced together with a techno soundtrack featuring the phrase "I will not apologize for what I need."
Thanks, Internet. |
