An Asian guy with a Polish surname, Ben's a recent transplant to the city of Templar, Arizona from Yakima, Washington.

He's a freelance writer. His weekly columns appear in The Templar Crusade, a local newspaper.

Quiet and unsocial by nature, Ben would probably be mistaken for a brooding loner if he weren't so thoroughly deferential and harmless-looking. He's pretty small. Smaller than most.

And despite any tangents I might meander off into, this comic is basically about him. If he knew he was being watched, though, he probably wouldn't sleep naked.
