Gene lives in Ben's apartment building, in the apartment directly above Ben. He's a noisy neighbor.

He's also sloppy, extensively tattooed, and navigates the world with a clinically subnormal intellect. None of this, however, prevents him from being a genuinely nice guy. Or perpetually smiling.

Gene makes his living by playing in a popular local band, Borndown. He's also raising his daughter, Zoradysis, who he occasionally loses track of completely. The chaos and disorder into which the two of them would allow themselves to cheerfully descend is only barely checked by the intervention of Reagan, and thank God for that.
